Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV is announced to include campaigns you can play alone or cooperatively, as well as separate multiplayer modes. The publisher says multiplayer modes will be available at launch.
How can you play the campaigns?
Four faction-specific campaigns are announced, with each playable solo or in co-op with a friend. Warhammer Community describes the story content as more than 70 campaign missions, playable solo or with a friend. These are campaign options, not competitive matches. What multiplayer modes are announced?
The announced options span customizable battles, survival, and competitive matches. Deep Silver’s official overview lists 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 multiplayer support at launch. Skirmish
Skirmish is a customizable battle mode: Deep Silver says players can choose maps, factions, and difficulty settings. It offers a way to set up battles separately from the campaign or competitive matchmaking.

Last Stand
Last Stand is a returning horde-style survival mode. The overview describes waves of enemies, character progression, skills, and equipment.
Competitive matches
The overview announces 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 formats. The developer Q&A identifies Annihilation, Domination, and Maelstrom as matchmaking options; those match types are distinct from co-op campaign play.

When and where is Dawn of War IV expected to launch?
As currently announced, Deep Silver lists a December 3, 2026 launch and Steam for PC (Windows); Steam’s store listing also displays December 3, 2026. These are current release details for an upcoming game and could change. Check the publisher’s FAQ or Steam listing for updates.
