Blade Runner is not confirmed to be getting a new video game in 2027. Alcon Entertainment has announced a new immersive, multisensory experience being co-produced by Behaviour Interactive and PHI Studio, with its initial unveiling planned in several North American cities starting in 2027. The announcement does not describe it as a game or specify gameplay, platforms, venues, or opening dates.
What is the Blade Runner project announced for 2027?
Alcon Entertainment’s May 11, 2026 announcement describes a “brand-new immersive experience” and a “multisensory experience” based on the Blade Runner universe. Behaviour Interactive and PHI Studio are co-producing the project in collaboration with Alcon, which holds the franchise’s intellectual-property rights. Alcon’s announcement describes a dystopian environment with visual and narrative elements, but does not identify the project as a video game.

The announced plan is for an initial unveiling in several North American cities starting in 2027. “Starting in 2027” is the only timing specified; there is no exact opening date or confirmed city list.
Why it is not confirmed as a gaming release
The announcement provides no conventional game details: it names no platforms, gameplay systems, game release date, or technical requirements. It also does not explain how much visitors will interact with the experience. That leaves the project’s precise format unsettled. It could be inaccurate to call it a new video game, but the announcement is not detailed enough to conclude that it will contain no game-like interaction.

Behaviour’s representatives describe the project as part of a move beyond games: Dominique Lebel, Senior Vice President, and Shahinaze Hachem, Head of Immersive Entertainment, said, “This project also marks a new chapter in Behaviour’s positioning beyond video games.” That statement supports the distinction from a conventional game announcement; it does not provide a detailed account of what visitors will do.

How it differs from earlier Blade Runner games
Blade Runner has had video games, but their existence does not establish the format of the 2027 experience. Alcon’s catalog describes Westwood Studios’ 1997 Blade Runner as a detective story starring Ray McCoy, with a nonlinear investigation, interactive environments, and tools including ESPER photo analysis. Alcon lists Westwood as developer and Alcon Interactive Group as publisher, and links to the game on GOG. Alcon’s Blade Runner catalog entry is about that earlier game, not the newly announced experience.
A separate title, Blade Runner: Revelations, was announced as an “Adventure/Thriller VR gaming experience” for Google Daydream. Its announcement describes playing as Harper in a branching story involving investigation, interrogation, and gunplay. Alcon’s Revelations announcement concerns that legacy VR game; it does not show that the 2027 project will use VR or Daydream.

Alcon has announced several North American cities and a start year of 2027, but has not named the cities, venues, exact dates, or run length. Ticket prices, ticketing arrangements, and visitor access details are also not announced. The available information does not establish whether this will be a tour, a permanent installation, an escape room, or a VR attraction, so none of those labels should be treated as confirmed.
