What did dumau say about arT’s recovery?
In an interview published by HLTV.org on October 2, 2026, dumau said: “Yeah. Now we had good news. He’s getting much better, and he’s probably coming to Malta to play at Thunderpick.”
The comment is a teammate’s update as reported in the interview, not a medical bulletin. HLTV reported that arT had contracted meningitis. Dumau said hearing about the illness was a shock, noting that former teammate Matheus “bruttJ” Queiroz had died of meningitis. The interview provides no further medical details or prognosis.
Is arT confirmed for the Thunderpick World Championship in Malta?
No. Dumau said arT was “probably” coming to Malta, which signals an expectation rather than confirmed attendance. The interview does not establish that arT ultimately traveled to Malta or played at the Thunderpick World Championship.

Why was arT absent from ESL Pro League Season 24?
According to HLTV’s report, arT missed ESL Pro League Season 24 after contracting meningitis. Legacy used team analyst Pedro “bobz” Rocha as a stand-in. Dumau said bobz would call, while the other players would help each other with calls and communicate around the map.
What was Legacy’s team context at the time?
At the time of the October 2 interview, HLTV reported that Legacy had just won FISSURE Playground and had risen to number two in the VRS. That is the ranking reported at publication, not a current ranking. Dumau said the team was taking tournaments one at a time and still had room to improve.
