Is Apple’s home security camera still coming next year?

As of October 7, 2026, the latest report located places Apple’s camera and related monitoring service in 2027. That is a reported plan, not a confirmed launch. MacRumors’ September 4, 2026 coverage attributes the information to Bloomberg; neither an Apple announcement nor the underlying Bloomberg report is available in the cited material. Read MacRumors’ report.

Earlier coverage in July 2026 said the camera could arrive as soon as that year. The newer timing points to 2027 instead, but the schedule remains uncertain. See the earlier MacRumors coverage.
