Google publishes a detailed Pixel specification sheet, but a complete iPhone 17 Pro Max spec sheet and a current, like-for-like price comparison are not established here. Treat the Pixel figures below as Google’s stated specifications and check live listings in your country before buying.

Google’s figures are manufacturer specifications and claims, not independent measurements. Peak-brightness marketing figures, battery-life claims and zoom labels should not be treated as directly comparable test results. In particular, “up to 120×” Pro Zoom does not mean the phone has optical zoom at every magnification.
Which phone is the better fit?
Choose by the platform you want to use
The most reliable choice supported by this comparison is the one that fits your existing ecosystem. Pick the Pixel if you want Android and Google’s listed camera and editing features. Pick the iPhone if you prefer iOS and Apple’s ecosystem. The available verified information does not support a measured performance, camera-quality or battery-life winner between these two models.
Consider your camera needs, not just megapixels
The Pixel’s published rear-camera layout covers wide, ultrawide and 5× telephoto use, while its front camera has autofocus. That describes hardware and listed modes; it does not show how its photos or videos compare with the iPhone’s. For a camera-led decision, look for independent testing of the exact models that covers daylight and low-light photos, moving subjects, zoom, stabilization and video—not only sensor resolution or maximum zoom claims.

Match storage to how you use the phone
On the Pixel, Google pairs 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage and 16 GB RAM with 512 GB or 1 TB. More memory alone does not establish better real-world performance. Compare the storage tier you actually need, including space for apps, photos and video, against the iPhone configuration available in your market.

Those figures do not establish which phone is cheaper for a buyer today: one is an iPhone starting price, while the Pixel prices are separated by storage tier, and prices and offers can change. Compare live listings for the same country and storage capacity, and check whether tax is included, whether the phone is unlocked or tied to a carrier, and how trade-in credits or promotions affect the final amount.
What this comparison cannot establish
Apple’s regional iPhone 17 Pro specifications URL redirected to newer iPhone pages during the source check, so the full iPhone 17 Pro Max specification sheet was not verified here. The redirect does not mean Apple lacks specifications for the model; it means the linked page is not sufficient evidence for a complete side-by-side spec table. Before purchase, verify the exact iPhone model’s display, dimensions, processor, storage, camera system, battery and charging details, connectivity, colors and software support against a current Apple or retailer listing. Apple Ireland specifications page.
Without a verified iPhone specification sheet and controlled independent testing, this comparison cannot rank the phones for display quality, speed, photo or video quality, endurance, or charging performance. Treat manufacturer specifications as a starting point, not a substitute for like-for-like testing or a current local offer.
