The Xeon Gold 6130H and Xeon Gold 6130 have the same headline CPU specifications: 16 cores, 32 threads, 2.10 GHz base frequency, up to 3.70 GHz turbo, 22 MB cache, and 125 W TDP. Intel lists the 6130H as launching one year later and the 6130 as having embedded options; the published specifications alone do not prove the two processors can be swapped in the same server.
How the published specifications compare
Intel’s product pages show closely matched core, clock, cache, power, and memory figures. The documented differences are launch date, embedded-options status, and the package information shown on the pages.

What the H suffix tells you—and what it doesn’t
Intel’s specification pages identify the 6130H and 6130 as separate model numbers, and list different embedded-options status. They do not explain the H suffix or establish that it signals a particular socket, market, or performance tier. Treat it as part of the model name, not as a compatibility guide.
Can you replace one with the other?
Do not assume so from the matching headline specifications. Intel lists FCLGA3647 for the 6130, but its retrieved 6130H specification page does not show a package value. Intel’s server-system compatibility listings show processor models in specific system contexts, not a universal guarantee for every motherboard or server. For example, consult the exact system’s processor list, such as Intel’s R1304WF0YSR compatible-processors page, and confirm with your own server or motherboard vendor.

Does the 6130H perform better?
The published specifications in these Intel pages do not establish that the 6130H is faster in real workloads. Both list the same core and thread count, base and maximum turbo frequencies, cache size, memory figures, and TDP. Those figures make them look similar on paper, but they are not a head-to-head benchmark and cannot predict performance in a particular server workload.
