Intel has not confirmed a consumer Arc B770. Reports point to a larger Battlemage GPU called BMG-G31, with a possible B770 name and rumored specifications, but driver IDs and software references are not a product announcement. The clearest official desktop Battlemage comparison remains Intel’s Arc B580 and B570.
What has been spotted—and what it proves
The clues suggest software support for a larger Battlemage GPU, but they do not establish a retail card, its final name, or an Intel launch plan.
- May 2025: Tom’s Hardware reported that four Battlemage PCI IDs had been added in a Mesa driver update. The IDs were broadly labeled BMG; the report said at least two likely mapped to workstation products, while the others were open to interpretation. Tom’s Hardware.
- June 2025: Phoronix reported that Intel engineer-posted patches identifying IDs 0xe220, 0xe221, 0xe222, and 0xe223 as BMG-G31 variants were merged into Mesa. The report described 32 Xe2 cores and a possible late-2025 debut as rumors. Driver recognition identifies hardware for software purposes; it does not confirm a consumer SKU or release date. Phoronix.
- September 2025: PCWorld reported a boot-log entry reading “BATTLEMAGE e221” and associated it with a rumored B770/BMG-G31 configuration with 16GB, while characterizing the evidence as scant. PCWorld.
- January 2026: Tom’s Hardware reported a GitHub reference specifically mentioning “b770,” but said this was not official confirmation. Tom’s Hardware.
These reports make a larger Battlemage GPU plausible. They do not show that Intel has announced or committed to selling a consumer B770.
Potential B770 specifications remain rumors
The figures below are claims reported about a possible BMG-G31/B770 configuration, not specifications confirmed by Intel. No independently tested B770 performance or confirmed consumer price is established by the cited reports.

| Potential detail | What reporting says | Status |
|---|---|---|
| GPU cores | 32 Xe2 cores, reported as a rumor for BMG-G31 by Phoronix and repeated in later coverage. | Unconfirmed. |
| Memory capacity | At least 16GB of GDDR6, according to prior leak information summarized by Tom’s Hardware. | Unconfirmed. |
| Memory bus | A 256-bit bus has been reported as a possibility by Tom’s Hardware. | Unconfirmed. |
| Total graphics power | Up to 300W is a figure reported as being in circulation by Tom’s Hardware. | Not an official board specification. |
| Clock speeds, final memory setup, performance, price, release date, and retail availability | Not established by the cited reporting. | Unknown. |
Even if some leaked details prove accurate, a final retail configuration could differ. In particular, the reported power figure should not be treated as a confirmed requirement for a card or system.
Intel’s confirmed desktop Battlemage baseline
Intel’s desktop Arc B-Series infographic lists the B580 and B570 as Battlemage/Xe2 cards. It gives them 12GB and 10GB of dedicated memory, respectively, and claims 1440p gaming at 60 FPS or higher at high quality. These are Intel’s own claims for those two products, not independent benchmarks and not evidence of how a possible B770 would perform. See Intel’s desktop Battlemage product material.

There is also a reported workstation member of the G31 family: a 2026 report identifies the Arc Pro B70 as G31-family hardware. That establishes a workstation context for G31, not a consumer B770. The Arc Pro B70 should not be treated as a gaming-card equivalent. Tom’s Hardware.
