Ingram Micro’s February 26, 2025 alliance with Alvaka gives Ingram Micro’s U.S. channel partners and their customers prioritized access to Alvaka’s ransomware remediation and recovery services. It is a professional-services channel arrangement—not a newly released software product or a general-purpose managed security platform.
What the alliance provides
The arrangement is intended to give eligible Ingram Micro partners a direct route to Alvaka when a ransomware incident requires emergency response, investigation, remediation or recovery. The announcement describes prioritized access rather than a separately packaged MSP product with a published feature list.

Alvaka describes experience restoring affected environments and supporting emergency response and recovery. The practical objective is to contain the incident, investigate what happened and restore business operations, subject to the facts of the individual event and the client’s available backups and systems.
Legal and digital forensics
Alvaka says it can draw on a legal and digital-forensic investigation network. That can be relevant when an organization needs evidence preservation, breach analysis or coordination with counsel. The alliance announcement does not define a universal forensic deliverable, so partners should establish the investigative scope and responsible parties in the engagement documents.

Post-incident security improvements
After recovery, Alvaka says it can help identify cybersecurity improvements. Customers may have Alvaka support those improvements or implement them with their own teams. The release does not specify a mandatory remediation package, particular security products or a fixed architecture.
Availability and performance claims to verify
24/7 live support
Alvaka advertises 24/7 live support on its own service page. That statement does not by itself establish a guaranteed response time, staffing level, geographic coverage or service-level agreement for every Ingram Micro referral. Before an incident, confirm the escalation telephone number, intake process, eligibility and contractual response commitments.

“Five days faster” recovery claim
Alvaka also says its recovery work can help clients recover five days faster than an industry average. This is Alvaka’s advertised claim; the reviewed material does not provide an independent study or methodology. Treat it as a provider claim, not a guaranteed outcome or a benchmark that applies to every ransomware event.
Why the partnership matters to MSPs
Ransomware cases often require capabilities that an MSP does not keep in-house, such as incident command, forensic coordination, legal liaison and large-scale restoration. A defined channel relationship can give a partner a prearranged escalation path instead of searching for a responder during an outage. Ingram Micro U.S. Executive Director of Networking and Security Adam Bellows said the relationship is intended to give customers a direct line to emergency response services as attacks increase.

The arrangement does not remove the MSP’s responsibility to maintain preventive controls, tested backups, identity protections, logging and an incident-response plan. Nor do the announcements establish that using Alvaka eliminates ransomware risk or guarantees data recovery.
Ransom demands in context
Sophos reported a $2 million median ransom payment in 2024, up from $400,000 in 2023, among organizations that said they paid in its 2024 State of Ransomware survey. The payment figures came from 1,097 paying respondents. The broader survey covered 5,000 IT and cybersecurity leaders in 14 countries at organizations with 100 to 5,000 employees across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia Pacific.

Those figures describe surveyed organizations that paid; they are not a typical or guaranteed cost for an individual victim. A recovery provider may help an organization investigate and restore systems, but neither the alliance nor the survey says that paying a ransom will restore data.

- Eligibility: Is the organization an Ingram Micro U.S. channel partner or an eligible client, and what referral route activates priority access?
- Escalation: Which phone number, portal or Ingram Micro contact starts a 24/7 response, and who acknowledges the request?
- Scope: Are containment, eradication, restoration, legal coordination and digital forensics included, optional or provided by separate specialists?
- Commercial terms: What are the rates, minimum commitments, authorization requirements and any partner economics?
- Evidence and timing: How does Alvaka measure recovery time, what assumptions underlie the five-day claim, and what response targets are contractual?
- Post-recovery work: Which hardening actions can Alvaka perform, and which remain the MSP’s responsibility?
- Geography: Does the specific engagement cover only U.S. operations, or are additional regions and entities separately supported?
How this differs from buying a security product
There is no hardware, downloadable application, recovery media or consumer purchase at the center of the announcement. The value is access to specialist people and services through a distributor-channel relationship. MSPs evaluating it should compare response availability, forensic and legal scope, restoration capabilities, post-incident hardening, eligibility and written service terms—not product specifications.

Announcement dates and geographic limit
The distributed alliance release is dated February 26, 2025. Alvaka’s own announcement listing is dated March 3, 2025. Both describe the initial audience as Ingram Micro channel partners and clients in the United States. The announcements do not establish worldwide availability, pricing, a universal service-level agreement or a fixed recovery timeline.
The Bottom Line
For U.S. Ingram Micro channel partners, the Alvaka relationship is a prioritized path to ransomware response, forensic coordination and recovery services. It should be treated as a provider referral and incident-response capability—not as a standalone MSP security product—and its eligibility, scope, pricing and response commitments should be confirmed in writing before an emergency.
