The companies said the deal would combine Incode’s AI-driven identity verification and fraud-prevention technology with AuthenticID’s experience deploying identity systems for regulated, high-volume enterprises. The financial terms were not disclosed.
What happened
Incode Technologies publicly announced the AuthenticID acquisition on August 19, 2025. A separate Incode legal-notifications entry dated July 29, 2025, described a stockholder notice for corporate actions connected with the acquisition. That notice did not state a purchase price, consideration, or transaction structure.
Why Incode acquired AuthenticID
Incode’s stated rationale was to bring together two complementary capabilities:
| Strategic dimension | Incode’s stated contribution | AuthenticID’s stated contribution |
|---|---|---|
| Technology | AI-based identity verification and fraud-prevention technology | Enterprise identity experience, including deployments in demanding operating environments |
| Target customers | Identity and trust tools for digital interactions | Experience serving regulated, high-volume organizations |
| Priority sectors | Financial services and telecommunications were among the sectors named in the announcement | |
These are the companies’ announced strategic goals, not independent evidence that the acquisition has already improved fraud rates, conversion, revenue, or customer outcomes.

The companies’ stated problem
The announcement positioned increasingly sophisticated, AI-assisted fraud as a reason enterprises need broader identity controls rather than isolated point products. Incode founder and CEO Ricardo Amper said, “Together with AuthenticID, we’re hardening the front line against these threats, so every enterprise can trust every interaction.”
Reed Taussig, identified as AuthenticID’s CEO at the time, said, “As AI-driven fraud becomes more sophisticated, our clients need more than just point solutions – they need a holistic AI-first approach delivered by a true strategic partner.”

How the products were expected to fit
Coverage around the announcement reported that AuthenticID would be merged into Incode’s identity orchestration platform. That describes the planned product direction at the time of the deal. The available materials do not verify that every product, backend system, customer contract, or support process has since been combined.
Scale figures cited by Incode
Incode’s announcement attributed the following figures to the combined companies’ reach. They are company-reported numbers, not independently audited market-share estimates:

- More than 4.1 billion identity checks processed in 2024.
- Eight of the 10 largest banks in the United States.
- Eight of the nine largest telecommunications companies in North America.
- Four of the five largest banks in Latin America.
- All three of the three largest global neobanks.
The announcement did not establish how these customer counts should be interpreted as market share, nor did it provide an independent assessment of the acquisition’s effect on those relationships.
How much did Incode pay?
The purchase price and detailed transaction terms were not disclosed in the materials reviewed. No reliable figure should be inferred from the companies’ customer or identity-check statistics.

What is still unknown
- The acquisition’s financial consideration and transaction structure.
- Whether all AuthenticID products and systems have been fully migrated into Incode’s platform.
- The current status of customer contracts, packaging, pricing, and support arrangements.
- Whether the announced combination has produced measurable changes in fraud prevention, operating performance, or market share.
- Any leadership changes after the announcement; Taussig was identified as AuthenticID’s CEO at the time.
Readers evaluating the companies today should verify these points against newer corporate product, leadership, and customer materials rather than treating the August 2025 announcement as a completion report.
Bottom line for enterprise buyers
Incode’s acquisition of AuthenticID was announced as a strategic combination: Incode’s AI-driven identity and fraud capabilities paired with AuthenticID’s enterprise experience in regulated, high-volume environments. The announcement supports that rationale and reports substantial combined scale, but it does not disclose the price or prove that integration and business benefits are complete. Procurement teams should request current architecture, migration, service-level, data-processing, and contract details before assuming the two offerings now operate as one fully integrated product.
