Yes. iBUYPOWER announced configurable custom gaming PCs with Intel Core Ultra 200S desktop processors on October 24, 2024. Its current catalog also shows newer Core Ultra 200S Plus options, including systems built with the Core Ultra 5 250K Plus and Core Ultra 7 270K Plus. Because iBUYPOWER’s components, inventory, discounts, delivery estimates, and prices change, verify the exact build and checkout total before ordering.

What iBUYPOWER announced in 2024

iBUYPOWER’s October 24, 2024 announcement said customers could configure a custom gaming PC with an Intel Core Ultra 200S processor. The launch range ran from the Core Ultra 5 245KF to the Core Ultra 9 285K.

The announcement listed launch configuration MSRPs from $1,609 to $3,299. Those were historical 2024 figures, not current prices, and should not be used as a present-day quote.

What the current catalog shows

Catalog pages reviewed on September 27, 2026 showed newer 200S Plus systems. These are not the same SKUs as the original 200S launch processors, so check the complete processor name on the product page.

200S versus 200S Plus: why the label matters

Original Core Ultra 200S

Intel introduced the original Core Ultra 200S desktop family on October 10, 2024. Intel described five unlocked enthusiast processors, configurations with up to eight Performance-cores and 16 Efficient-cores, and an NPU for supported AI workloads.

Core Ultra 200S Plus

On March 11, 2026, Intel announced the Core Ultra 200S Plus family. Intel said the Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and Core Ultra 5 250K/KF Plus add four E-cores compared with the cited Core Ultra 7 265K/KF and Core Ultra 5 245K/KF counterparts. Intel also described DDR5-7200 support and compatibility with existing 800-series chipset motherboards, with retail-partner availability expected from March 26, 2026.

Therefore, a current iBUYPOWER listing that says “250K Plus” or “270K Plus” should not be described simply as the original 245KF or 285K. Record the exact SKU shown in the configurator.

Compare the whole PC, not only the CPU

The processor is only one part of a gaming desktop. The two current examples pair different CPUs with different GeForce graphics cards, while using the same listed memory, storage, and motherboard model. The RTX 5080 system will generally target a higher graphics-performance tier than the RTX 5070 Ti system, but the CPU name alone cannot establish gaming frame rates or value.

Checklist for an iBUYPOWER configuration

  • Exact processor: confirm whether the system uses a 200S or 200S Plus SKU and note the full model number.
  • Graphics card: check the GPU model and its video-memory capacity; this often has more direct impact on gaming performance than changing between nearby CPU tiers.
  • Memory: verify total capacity, DDR5 generation, rated speed, and the number of modules.
  • Storage: confirm SSD capacity and model, and whether additional drive bays or expansion options are included.
  • Motherboard and connectivity: inspect the exact board, wireless standard, rear and front USB ports, display outputs, networking, and available expansion slots. Do not assume every feature associated with the processor appears in every finished PC.
  • Included software and service: check the Windows edition, warranty terms, shipping, taxes, and any assembly or delivery charges shown at checkout.
  • Total price: treat discounts and promotional pricing as temporary until confirmed in the live cart.

How Intel’s performance claims should be read

Intel’s launch materials reported several comparisons, but these are vendor claims with specific test methods and baselines rather than independent testing of an iBUYPOWER system.

Claim How to interpret it
Up to 14% faster multi-threaded performance than the previous generation Intel’s 2024 launch comparison; the result is not a guarantee for every application or prebuilt configuration.
Up to 58% lower package power in everyday applications Intel’s package-level launch figure, not a universal measurement of total system power.
Up to 165W lower system power while gaming Intel’s stated comparison under its specified conditions; it should not be treated as a promise for every iBUYPOWER build.
Up to 15% faster geomean gaming performance versus existing Core Ultra Series 2 desktop processors Intel’s 2026 200S Plus launch claim, based on Intel’s selected test suite and comparison scope.

Intel attributed its 2024 messaging to Robert Hallock, vice president and general manager of AI and Technical Marketing, Client Computing Group. His description of a cooler, quieter experience and AI-enabled gaming and creation is a manufacturer statement, not an independent review result.

Which configuration fits which use case?

High-refresh or high-resolution gaming

Start with the graphics card and monitor resolution, then assess the CPU. The catalog’s RTX 5080/270K Plus example is positioned above the RTX 5070 Ti/250K Plus example in graphics hardware, but confirm the actual game, resolution, cooling, and power-supply configuration before drawing performance conclusions.

  • Intel Core i7 14700F, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB, 32GB DDR5 RGB 4800MHz 16x2 1TB NVMe SSD, WIFI Ready, Windows 11 Home

General gaming and mixed desktop use

The RTX 5070 Ti/250K Plus example combines a current Plus-series processor with 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB NVMe SSD. It may be a sensible starting point for a broad gaming build, but its value depends on the live price and the exact included components.

Creation or AI workloads

Look beyond the NPU label. Check the application’s support for CPU, GPU, and NPU acceleration, available graphics memory, system memory, storage capacity, and cooling. Intel’s launch claims describe platform potential; they do not replace workload-specific testing.
