These are feature matches, not winners in a tested comparison. Before choosing, check whether each phone’s software, services, warranty and network support work in your country.
What makes the Mate 90 RS a useful reference point?
Huawei positions the Mate 90 RS ULTIMATE DESIGN as a luxury-design flagship in its China lineup. Huawei’s China specifications list a 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED display with 2848 × 1320 resolution and adaptive 1–120 Hz LTPO refresh, a Kirin 9050 Pro processor, HarmonyOS 7.0, 16 GB of RAM and a choice of 512 GB, 1 TB or 2 TB storage. The listed cameras are a stabilized 50 MP variable-aperture main camera, a 40 MP ultra-wide, a stabilized 200 MP telephoto with macro capability, and a third-generation Red Maple color camera. Huawei also describes a high-brightness titanium frame and Kunlun glass. Huawei’s official China specification page provides these manufacturer-listed details.
Huawei’s product page claims a 12,000-nit peak-brightness display and 18 EV high dynamic range for the main camera. These are Huawei specifications and claims, not independent measurements. The product page also says that the separately named Z10 modular camera must be used with the Mate 90 RS; it is not a standalone camera accessory. Huawei’s series launch page lists a Mate 90 RS Star Diamond protective case, but availability outside Huawei’s stated channels has not been established. Which premium alternatives are worth considering?
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: integrated S Pen and big-screen flagship
Samsung’s US product page lists the Galaxy S26 Ultra with a 6.9-inch display, 214 g weight, 5,000 mAh battery, 200 MP wide camera, 50 MP ultra-wide, 50 MP telephoto and S Pen support. That makes it a natural alternative if you want a similarly large screen but place particular value on pen-based notes, annotation or other S Pen workflows, or already rely on Samsung’s ecosystem. Xiaomi 17 Ultra: camera hardware and a larger listed battery capacity
Xiaomi’s global product page lists a Leica 50 MP main camera with a 1-inch sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide and a 200 MP telephoto covering 75–100 mm with mechanical optical zoom. It also lists a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform and a 6000 mAh typical-capacity battery. Those specifications make the Xiaomi a relevant choice if camera hardware and a high listed battery capacity are priorities. How do their listed specifications compare?
This table summarizes manufacturer-published specifications from different regional pages. It is not a controlled comparison, and a figure listed by one manufacturer may not be directly comparable with another’s. Huawei’s prices below are China launch prices; Samsung’s cited page is for the US, and Xiaomi’s is global.

What should you check before buying?
- Apps, operating system and services: Mate 90 RS runs HarmonyOS 7.0 and is presented on Huawei’s China pages. Confirm that the apps and local services you depend on are available and supported where you live. Check software and service details for the Samsung or Xiaomi model sold in your own market as well.
- Local price, warranty and stock: Huawei’s buying guide lists China launch prices of CNY 12,999 for 16 GB/512 GB, CNY 14,999 for 16 GB/1 TB and CNY 18,999 for 16 GB/2 TB. Huawei gives October 1, 2026 as the first sale date and identifies its official online shop and authorized retail experience stores as initial channels. - Carrier compatibility: Check the exact regional model’s network bands and whether your carrier supports it. Product pages from different markets do not establish compatibility with every carrier.
- Camera use, not megapixel totals: Compare focal lengths, sensor information and features such as the Xiaomi’s stated 75–100 mm mechanical zoom range. Megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better photos.
- Screen and handling: The Mate and Samsung pages both list 6.9-inch displays, but the Xiaomi page cited here does not state a screen size. Samsung’s cited page lists its phone at 214 g; the cited Huawei and Xiaomi pages do not provide a weight for this comparison.
- Battery expectations: Samsung lists 5,000 mAh and Xiaomi lists 6000 mAh typical capacity. Those capacities do not establish real-world endurance or charging speed; comparable battery-test results are not provided by these product pages.
- Workflow: If stylus input is central to your work, Samsung’s S Pen support is a specific listed feature. The cited Huawei and Xiaomi pages do not list an equivalent integrated pen feature.
What the specifications cannot tell you
The cited official pages establish manufacturer-listed features, not comparative image quality, sustained performance, software longevity or real-world battery endurance. No independent head-to-head test is established here, so there is no evidence-based basis for ranking these three phones by speed, camera results or battery life. Treat specifications as a way to narrow your shortlist, then seek independent testing for the outcomes that matter most to you.
