In the U.S., the 2026 MLB postseason is split across NBC, NBCSN, Peacock, TBS, FOX and FS1, with streaming options varying by network. Start by identifying the game’s round and channel, then check whether your TV or streaming package carries it and whether you need to sign in with a provider. A general MLB.TV subscription does not provide live access to every U.S. playoff game.
Where to watch each 2026 MLB postseason round
This U.S. channel map is based on FOX Sports’ 2026 guide and NBCUniversal’s rights announcement. Check the live schedule for game-specific listings and changes.

| Round | U.S. TV channels | Streaming and access notes |
|---|---|---|
| Wild Card Series | NBC, NBCSN and Peacock | Peacock carries the round. The games are not available live on MLB.TV in the U.S. |
| American League Division Series (ALDS) | TBS | Availability depends on a TV or streaming package that carries TBS. Eligible U.S. MLB.TV subscribers may authenticate select TBS games through a participating provider. |
| National League Division Series (NLDS) | FOX and FS1 | FOX Sports lists FOX One for streaming; eligible U.S. MLB.TV subscribers may authenticate select FOX games through a participating provider. |
| American League Championship Series (ALCS) | TBS | Availability depends on a TV or streaming package that carries TBS. Eligible U.S. MLB.TV subscribers may authenticate select TBS games through a participating provider. |
| National League Championship Series (NLCS) | FOX and FS1 | FOX One streams FOX and FS1 postseason games. FOX games are also available on FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports App with an eligible TV-provider login. |
| World Series | FOX | Stream through FOX One, or use FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports App with an eligible TV-provider login. TBS is not the World Series channel. |
FOX and TBS access through MLB.TV is an authenticated option for select games, not a replacement for the network’s full schedule. Check the current MLB postseason viewing rules to confirm participating providers and network eligibility.
How to choose a live viewing option
- Find the round and network. Use the schedule to confirm whether the game is on NBC, NBCSN, Peacock, TBS, FOX or FS1.
- Check your package. Confirm that your cable, satellite or live-TV streaming subscription includes the channel. For Peacock or FOX One, confirm that your plan includes the game.
- Check the sign-in requirement. FOX Sports website and app streams require an eligible TV-provider login. MLB.TV authentication for select FOX or TBS games also requires a participating provider.
- Confirm location and device. Availability and blackouts can vary by location and service. Check the service’s current supported-device and game-availability information before game time.
What MLB.TV does—and does not—include
U.S. subscribers
MLB says U.S. subscribers with an eligible subscription can watch select FOX and TBS postseason games live when they also receive that network through a participating pay-TV provider and authenticate. The provider list includes cable, satellite and some streaming TV services; eligibility is network-specific. MLB.TV does not carry the U.S. Wild Card Series live, which is on NBCUniversal platforms.

MLB says valid subscribers can listen to live audio and watch full-game archives 90 minutes after a game ends. MLB.TV is also primarily an out-of-market regular-season service subject to blackout restrictions; its postseason access should not be read as a pass to every live playoff game.
Subscribers outside the U.S.
MLB says live postseason games are available internationally on MLB.TV except in Canada. Full-game archives are available on demand 90 minutes after games end. Country-specific rights can affect which games are available, so check your location’s listing in MLB’s postseason help page.

Dates and postseason format
FOX Sports’ guide, updated August 13, 2026, lists these planned start dates. Matchups and game times were still to be determined in that guide, and the schedule is subject to change.
| Round | Planned start | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Wild Card Series | September 29, 2026 | Best of three |
| Division Series | October 3, 2026 | Best of five |
| League Championship Series | October 11, 2026 | Best of seven |
| World Series | October 23, 2026 | Best of seven; Game 7, if needed, is scheduled for October 31 |
The field has 12 teams, six from each league. The two highest-seeded division winners in each league receive first-round byes; the remaining qualifiers play a best-of-three Wild Card Series hosted by the higher seed. Check FOX Sports’ 2026 guide for schedule updates.

Streaming limits and practical checks
Streaming rights do not guarantee access in every location. Peacock says territorial blackouts can affect selected regular-season, special-event and postseason games. Its restrictions apply regardless of whether the club is playing at home or away, and regardless of whether the game is televised in the club’s home territory. Check Peacock’s MLB streaming availability information for current limits.
For ESPN’s MLB.TV app, listed supported devices include web browsers, iOS/tvOS, Android, Fire TV, Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Xbox and PlayStation; availability and purchase support can vary by device. See ESPN’s device compatibility list. A compatible TV or streaming device may be convenient, but no particular hardware is required if you can watch on another supported device.
