To watch live soccer, first find the match’s official broadcaster in your country, then use that service’s supported app or website on your device. Broadcast rights vary by competition and territory, so an app that streams one league may not show the match you want.
Find out where the match is available
Start with the competition and your location—not the device. Check the competition’s official broadcaster listing for your country, then confirm that the broadcaster’s own schedule or service page lists the specific match. For example, UEFA’s 2026/27 Champions League broadcast-partner page provides country-level listings. Rights can differ between countries and competitions.
Before subscribing, verify that the service carries the match where you are, what plan or partner access it requires, which devices it supports, and whether any viewing restrictions apply. Coverage, prices, plan terms and compatibility can change, so check the current official listings.
Watch on a smart TV
- Look up the match’s official broadcaster for your country.
- Search your TV’s app store for the broadcaster’s official app. Check the service’s support page for your specific TV model or operating system.
- Open the app, sign in or complete the service’s subscription or provider sign-in, and select the live match.
- If the app is not available on your TV, check whether the broadcaster supports a streaming device or a casting or wired playback method for your setup.
For one example, Apple lists the Apple TV app on supported smart TVs and Fire TV devices for MLS. HBO Max documents Chromecast, AirPlay and HDMI playback for select live sports in the U.S.; those options do not establish that every soccer match is available there. Confirm both match coverage and device compatibility with the service before buying equipment.

What to compare before choosing a service
- Match coverage: Confirm the exact competition and fixture, not just a general claim that a service streams soccer.
- Country: Check the official broadcaster listing for your location. UEFA’s country-by-country Champions League page illustrates how partners can vary by region.
- Device support: Make sure the app or website works on the TV, phone or computer you plan to use.
- Price and access: Check the current subscription price, plan inclusions and whether access requires a participating TV or streaming provider. The official service listing is the place to confirm current terms.
- Restrictions: Look for blackout or other location-based limits. Apple says its MLS coverage is available without blackouts; that claim applies to the specified MLS coverage and should not be assumed for other services or competitions.
If your TV does not have the app
A compatible streaming device may let you install the broadcaster’s app on a TV that does not support it directly. Amazon describes Fire TV as a destination for live World Cup 2026 matches, highlights and replays in the U.S., and Apple lists Fire TV devices among platforms for its app. Neither device guarantees access to every match or service: verify the broadcaster’s device support and the match’s availability first. If the service supports casting or HDMI playback, those may be alternatives, but compatibility depends on the service, device and event.
