Open the free Shackmaps Nasdara interactive map, search or pan to your destination, switch on the layer you need, inspect a pin, and then use the grid, coordinates, distance, and personal-marker tools to turn that pin into a route. Check the spot in your current game before committing to a trip: the map is unofficial, manually maintained, and its indexed spawns do not prove that an object is active on your server right now.
This guide explains what each layer can show, how to locate loot, vehicles, crash or event sites, and bunker-related landmarks, and how to handle stale or incomplete pins.
What the Shackmaps Nasdara map does
Shackmaps Nasdara is a browser-based, interactive map rather than an in-game navigation screen. Its launch information describes it as free, searchable, and manually updated. You can move around the map, zoom into a settlement or landmark, turn categories on and off, open individual pins, measure distances, and save your own markers for a route or a discovery.

A pin tells you where the map believes a building, vehicle spawn, event point, or other feature is located. It does not guarantee that the feature will be present when you arrive. Server state, resets, despawns, competition from other players, and changes that have not yet been entered by the maintainers can all produce a different in-game result.

What is currently indexed
The supporting index for NasdaraMap.com, dated 2026, reports 13,719 loot buildings, 333 vehicle spawn points spread across seven vehicle types, and 86 possible helicopter-crash points. These are counts of locations in the map data. They are not a live inventory, a promise that every location is active simultaneously, or a guarantee of loot quality.

Open the map and orient yourself
- Open the Shackmaps Nasdara interactive map in your browser.
- Use the search bar for a town, landmark, or other target term. If you do not know an exact name, drag the map and zoom manually until the correct region is visible.
- Keep the map at a useful zoom level. A wide view helps you compare destinations; a close view makes building and marker selection easier.
- Look for the layer or filter controls before selecting pins. Turning off unrelated categories reduces clutter and makes a cluster of loot or vehicle markers easier to read.
Search is useful when you already know a place name. Manual panning is more dependable when the feature is unnamed, when several pins share a similar label, or when you are planning a route through several neighboring points.
Turn layers on and off
The interface exposes separate loot categories, a Vehicle layer, Crash/Event markers, landmarks, grid controls, distance measurement, and personal markers. The exact set of subcategories visible can change as the map is maintained, so read the label shown in the current map rather than assuming that every release uses the same wording.

Find loot buildings and loot categories
Use a category-first search
- Open the loot controls and enable the category that matches your objective.
- Search for the nearest town or landmark, or pan to the region where you intend to travel.
- Zoom in until individual pins are separable. In a dense settlement, a distant view can make several markers appear to overlap.
- Select a pin to inspect its location and any details displayed by the map.
- Record the grid or coordinate information if you need to communicate the location to a squad or return to it later.
A category filter is more useful than simply searching the word “loot.” It lets you hide unrelated markers and compare only the buildings relevant to your run. If the interface presents several loot subcategories, enable one at a time when a crowded area is difficult to read, then broaden the selection after you have chosen a route.

Plan a loot run instead of a single stop
Use the distance tool to compare a short chain of buildings with a farther, denser cluster. Place personal markers on the first stop, a fallback building, and the point where you plan to leave the area. This creates a route you can follow even if one building has already been searched.
The 13,719-building index is a scale indicator, not a farming schedule. It tells you that the map contains a large number of candidate structures; it does not rank them by quality or state how often an item respawns. Verify the result of each visit in game and adjust your personal markers when a location is inaccessible or no longer useful.
Locate vehicles
Display vehicle spawn points
- Enable the Vehicle layer.
- Search for your destination or move to the sector where you want transportation.
- Zoom in and select each nearby vehicle marker to inspect the information shown for that point.
- Use the distance tool to compare several spawns rather than committing to the first pin you see.
- Save the most useful options as personal markers, including at least one backup spawn.
The index lists 333 vehicle spawn points across seven vehicle types. Because the source does not publish the names of those seven types in the supplied information, the map’s own marker labels are the authority for identifying a specific type. Do not infer a vehicle model from a marker’s color or position alone.
Build a vehicle fallback plan
Vehicles are contested and may not be present. Mark two or three alternatives along the same travel direction, then measure the walking distance between them. If the first point is empty, you can continue to the next without reopening the map or changing your overall objective.

- Choose a primary spawn close to your starting position.
- Choose a secondary spawn that keeps you moving toward your destination.
- Choose a final fallback near the destination or an extraction route.
- Keep a non-vehicle route in mind if every marker is empty.
A map pin cannot tell you whether another player has taken a vehicle, whether it is damaged, or whether a server rule has temporarily disabled it. Treat the marker as a place to check, not as a delivery guarantee.
Find crashes and other event locations
Enable the Crash/Event layer to display marked helicopter-crash and event-related points. The supporting index reports 86 possible helicopter-crash points. “Possible” is important: these are locations where a crash may occur according to the index, not 86 simultaneous events.
- Turn on Crash/Event while leaving the map centered on your intended travel area.
- Select a marker to read any available label or notes.
- Measure the route from your current position or a nearby safe landmark.
- Place a personal marker on the event point and another on a retreat or regroup location.
- Confirm that the event is actually present when you reach the area.
The supplied map information does not establish event timers, warning signals, loot tables, or a guaranteed sequence of crash locations. Do not plan around an assumed timer or promise a particular reward based only on the pin.
Use the map to find bunker-related points
For bunkers, begin with the Landmark layer and then check Crash/Event or any other relevant layer offered by the current interface. Search for a named bunker or pan across the region until a bunker-related marker appears. Select the pin, note its grid or coordinates, and measure the approach from a route you can actually reach.

What the map does not confirm
The available information does not publish bunker key requirements, access rules, loot guarantees, or spawn timers. A marked bunker location therefore answers “where should I look?” but not “what do I need to enter?” or “what will be inside?” Confirm those details through your current in-game experience rather than presenting an unverified requirement as fact.
Prepare for a locked or inaccessible point
- Save the bunker as a personal marker so you can return after learning an access requirement.
- Mark a nearby landmark as a regroup point.
- Measure an alternate route in case the direct approach is blocked.
- Record what you actually observe in game, including whether the entrance is open, locked, or absent.
Grid, coordinates, distance, and personal markers
Grid and coordinate tools
Grid controls provide a shared reference that is easier to communicate than “the third building east of the road.” After selecting a pin, copy or note the displayed coordinate or grid information in your squad’s agreed format. Keep the map zoom and orientation consistent when giving directions; a coordinate is useful only when everyone is reading the same map.
Distance measurement
Use the distance tool to compare candidate destinations and to break a long trip into legs. A straight-line measurement is an estimate, not a travel-time prediction. Terrain, blocked paths, elevation, combat, and the need to avoid other players can make the actual route longer.
Personal markers
Personal markers are useful for discoveries that are not yet on the shared map, a planned sequence of loot buildings, vehicle backups, rally points, and corrections you want to check later. Label them clearly, for example “primary vehicle,” “fallback loot,” or “bunker—access unknown,” so that an old observation is not mistaken for a confirmed map fact.

Verify pins in game
Shackmaps is unofficial and manually updated. Its launch guidance explicitly invites users to report errors or discoveries through the Suggest a Pin button. If a marker is wrong, missing, or no longer matches what you see, use that control when available and describe the correction precisely.
- Check the marker’s exact position and label before leaving the map.
- Visit the location in game and compare the landmark, building, or spawn with the pin.
- Note whether the issue is a misplaced marker, a duplicate, a missing feature, or a temporary absence.
- Submit a correction or new-location suggestion through Suggest a Pin rather than treating your personal note as a public update.
- Keep your own marker until a later map update reflects the change.
Manual maintenance means freshness can vary by location. A recently changed area may not match the index immediately, while a marker that is accurate geographically can still describe a feature whose live state changes from server to server.
Read map counts without overpromising
Counts are most useful for judging coverage and planning redundancy. The 333 vehicle points tell you that there are many candidates to check; they do not tell you the probability of finding a working vehicle at any one point. The 86 crash points describe the indexed search area for that event. The 13,719 loot buildings indicate broad building coverage, not the contents of a particular room.

Troubleshoot common map problems
A search returns nothing
- Try a shorter place name or a nearby landmark.
- Clear restrictive layers and search again.
- Pan and zoom manually; an unnamed point may not be searchable by the term you expect.
- Check spelling and try the map’s displayed label rather than a nickname.
The map is too crowded
- Disable unrelated loot categories and event layers.
- Zoom in until pins separate.
- Work one objective at a time, such as vehicles first and loot second.
- Use personal markers to preserve your selected route while you hide other layers.
The pin does not match the game
- Recheck the exact marker and coordinate; a nearby building can look correct at a distant zoom.
- Consider whether the difference is temporary, such as a taken vehicle or inactive event.
- Record the observed discrepancy and submit it through Suggest a Pin.
- Keep a fallback location rather than abandoning the entire route.
A distance estimate seems wrong
Confirm that you selected the intended endpoints and that you are interpreting the map’s measurement as a map distance rather than a guaranteed walking time. Re-measure each leg after changing zoom or route direction, and add a detour for terrain or blocked access.

- Inspect the event or bunker-related pin and note its grid reference.
- Mark an approach, a regroup point, and an exit route.
- Confirm the live event or access state in game; record any requirement you personally observe without assuming it applies universally.
Best practices for dependable use
- Use the map to make decisions, not to replace in-game verification.
- Keep at least one fallback for contested vehicles and dense loot areas.
- Separate public map information from your personal observations.
- Carry the qualification with every count: indexed locations are not simultaneous live spawns.
- Submit precise corrections so manually maintained data can improve.
- When sharing a route, provide the destination label plus grid or coordinate information and an approximate measured distance.
