Link to the stream and make the destination clear
In each post, link directly to the stream or its scheduled watch page. Say plainly that the channel is live 24/7, then identify what viewers can expect if they click now. For example, highlight a particular program block or upcoming event instead of relying on a generic “we’re live” message.
YouTube’s event-promotion guidance recommends sharing a streaming link at least 48 hours before going live. That is advice for promoting an event, not a measured guarantee of more viewers or a required cadence for a stream that is already running continuously. Use advance posts for planned segments and special programming; keep the ongoing destination clear on your channel as well. YouTube Help: Promote your live stream.
Choose a post format that suits the message
YouTube’s post composer supports text, images, polls, quizzes, and shared videos. Choose the format based on what you want the post to do; the available formats are features, not evidence that one format will attract more viewers.

- Text: Announce what is happening or when a program block begins, and include the stream link.
- Image: Add visual context for a guest, event, or themed segment.
- Poll or question: Invite viewers to participate, then make the stream destination easy to find.
- Shared video: Use a relevant video to set up a stream or give viewers context for it.

Schedule posts around real programming
You can schedule posts for a date and time, including a time zone. For a continuous stream, schedule them around something that actually changes: a special event, a guest, a new program block, or a viewer prompt. A steady stream does not require an invented daily or weekly posting rule.
YouTube says channels are limited in how many posts they may publish in a 24-hour period, but its cited instructions do not give a universal numeric quota or recommend a particular frequency. Check YouTube’s current post guidance before scheduling a large batch.

Give the stream other paths to discovery
Community posts work alongside your channel and event surfaces. YouTube recommends creating a Live section for upcoming and live events. It also says subscribers may see a public event in their Home feed and that a stream may appear in What to Watch Next; these are possible discovery surfaces, not guaranteed placement or impressions. YouTube’s stated eligibility is more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes, and the trailer length is 15 seconds to 3 minutes. Check YouTube Help’s current trailer instructions because eligibility and feature availability can change.
Make the content useful after the post is no longer prominent
A post is only one route to a stream; the stream’s archive can help viewers find content later. YouTube says live-stream archives upload by default. It recommends making archives public to help future reach and organizing archives and highlight clips into playlists. Some eligible mobile broadcasts can also produce Shorts highlights, subject to format and other restrictions. Check YouTube’s archive guidance and Shorts highlights guidance for current details.

What Community posts can—and cannot—promise
YouTube’s official guidance explains post features and ways to promote a live event, but it does not quantify how much Community posts increase viewership for a 24/7 stream. Treat posts as a practical way to communicate the destination and invite viewers at relevant moments, not as a guaranteed audience-growth formula. Likewise, subscriber notifications and feed visibility are possibilities, not promises.
