Use Browse AI to train a robot to extract a product’s displayed price, then add a monitor to run the robot on a schedule and report detected changes. Before relying on alerts, test the robot to confirm it captures the correct product, variant, and price.
Choose what you want to monitor
For one item, start with its product page. If you want to follow several products or compare prices across a listing, search-results, or category page, use the page that presents those listings. Browse AI describes monitoring both individual product pages for price changes and product listings or search results; the exact fields and available options depend on the page and your account.
Train the robot to capture the displayed price and enough product information to identify what that price belongs to. Include the product name or other identifying details, and capture the variant when options such as size, color, or package quantity have different prices. Decide whether you are tracking the current selling price, a displayed list price, or another price shown on the page. Otherwise, a change in the captured field may not represent the comparison you intended.
Train and test a Browse AI robot
- In Browse AI, create a robot for the product page or listing you chose and train it to extract the relevant product details and price.
- Run the robot and inspect its output. Compare the extracted values with the page, including the product identity, selected variant, and price.
- Correct the extraction if it selects a nearby price, the wrong variant, or unrelated listing data. Test again before adding a monitor.
Browse AI recommends testing robots. A successful run alone does not confirm that the robot captured the intended price, so verify the actual output.
Add a monitor and set its schedule
Browse AI’s Help Center describes two ways to set up monitoring: select monitoring during robot creation, or add a monitor to an approved robot through its Monitor tab. Use the monitor only after the robot is capturing the desired data.
- Select the monitoring setup option available for your robot.
- Choose how often the monitor should run and set its change sensitivity. The available choices are account-interface and plan dependent.
- Check the timezone configured for the monitor. The schedule follows that timezone, which may differ from your browser’s timezone.
- Save the monitor, then review its settings in the dashboard.
Browse AI’s price-monitoring page describes schedules ranging from every minute to monthly. Treat that as a vendor-described range, not a guarantee that every interval is currently available to every account; confirm the choices shown in your dashboard.

Choose how to receive changes
Browse AI documents email notifications and data delivery through webhooks or integrations. Its e-commerce materials also describe sending structured data to spreadsheets and other connected tools. Select a destination that fits how you will review or use the price history, and verify which options are available for your account and plan before building a workflow around a particular destination.
Keep the monitor reliable
- Check real runs: Review captured values against the source page, especially when an alert reports a change.
- Revalidate after page changes: A redesign can move or alter the price field and leave the robot matching the wrong content or nothing at all.
- Watch variants and listings: Confirm the monitored product and variant remain the same. On a category or search page, check that the robot has not started extracting a different listing.
- Review monitor settings: Confirm the schedule, timezone, sensitivity, and delivery destination in the dashboard when your needs change.
- Account for location: Browse AI’s e-commerce materials describe geolocation-specific monitoring. If prices or availability vary by region, check whether the relevant location behavior is available in your account and validate the result for that location.
Troubleshooting common price-monitoring problems
The robot captures the wrong price
Check whether the page shows multiple prices, such as a sale price and a list price, or multiple product variants. Adjust the fields the robot captures, then run it again and compare the output to the exact price you intend to track.

The monitor reports changes that are not meaningful
Review the captured fields and change-sensitivity setting. If the product identity, variant, or surrounding listing information is changing alongside the price, refine what the robot extracts so the comparison focuses on the intended item and price.
The monitor stops finding the price
Inspect the current page and run the robot again. If the layout or price presentation has changed, update the robot’s extraction pattern and test its output before relying on the monitor again.
Alerts arrive at the wrong time
Check the monitor’s configured timezone rather than assuming it uses your browser’s timezone. Confirm the saved schedule in the account interface.
A delivery destination is unavailable
Check the dashboard and your plan for the integrations, webhook, or notification options currently offered to your account. Browse AI documents these delivery approaches, but that does not establish that every destination is included in every plan.
