To use an auto clicker effectively, first decide whether you need a click after the pointer rests or repeated clicks at a set interval. Android includes a mouse-based dwell-click feature for the first task; timed clicking usually requires a third-party tool. Their controls, compatibility, and risks differ, so choose the method that fits your device and keep a clear way to stop it.
Choose the right kind of auto click
A dwell click happens when the pointer stays still for a chosen time. It can help someone use a mouse with less need to press its buttons. A timed auto clicker instead sends repeated clicks, often at a selected interval and either at the current pointer location or at fixed coordinates.
Google describes Android’s mouse-based feature this way: “If you use a mouse with your Android device, you can set the cursor to take action automatically when the cursor stops moving for a certain amount of time.” Google says it can be helpful for people with motor impairments. For Windows, Microsoft documents accessibility and automation technologies such as Microsoft Active Accessibility (MSAA) and UI Automation, as well as assistive tools and automated scripts; that documentation does not recommend a particular consumer auto-clicker. - Choose dwell clicking if you want a click after the pointer rests, especially when using a mouse as an accessibility aid on Android.
- Consider timed-click software if a task genuinely needs repeated clicks, a fixed click count, or a particular pointer target. Check that the tool supports your operating system and application.
Turn on Android’s mouse-based dwell click
Google documents this path: Settings > Accessibility > Cursor & touchpad accessibility > Autoclick (Dwell timing). Turn on Use autoclick. Connect a mouse to the Android device over Bluetooth or USB; the available steps may be limited to Android 11.0 and newer, according to Google’s help page. - Move the cursor to the location where you want an action.
- Stop moving the cursor. The click occurs after the selected delay.
- Set Delay before click to balance quicker activation against unintended clicks. A longer delay gives you more time to move away before the action.
- Adjust Click area if you need some pointer movement to be tolerated while the countdown runs. If small cursor jitter keeps restarting the timer, consider Ignore minor cursor movement; Google says this option is off by default.
- Use the floating click-type selector when you need an action other than a left-click. Google lists touch and hold, right-click, double-click, drag, and scroll, along with pause/resume controls and a visible countdown ring.
A Bluetooth mouse may be convenient for a phone or tablet, but Google also documents USB connection. Check that the mouse and any required adapter work with your device. This accessory advice applies to Android’s mouse-based dwell-click setup; it is not a universal requirement for desktop auto-click software.
Evaluate third-party clickers by the task
Features differ by product, so do not assume that one auto clicker’s options or operating-system support apply to another. Before installing one, compare the controls you actually need and verify requirements on the developer’s current official download page.

For example, Playsaurus lists configurable intervals, click types, finite or indefinite counts, and current-cursor or fixed-coordinate clicking among the free features of its product. It lists keypresses, scrolling, image/color detection, and macros or recordings as advanced features. These are the vendor’s descriptions of that product, not features shared by every clicker. Check platform claims carefully. As accessed October 3, 2026, Playsaurus’s download page lists Windows 10/11, Android 10+, and macOS 11+ and says the macOS app is notarized. Its about page lists Windows 10/11 and Android 10+, says Linux is unsupported, and gives macOS 14+ as the minimum. Because the two pages conflict on macOS, the minimum version is not settled by those sources; verify the current installer requirements before downloading. Keep automated clicking under control
Start with the smallest target, shortest run, and narrowest click count that will accomplish the task. Before a longer run, make sure the intended window is active and the pointer or fixed coordinates identify the right target. Keep a pause or stop method visible and accessible. If the active window or target changes, repeated input can go somewhere unintended; the sources cited here do not quantify how often that happens.
For an online multiplayer game, read that specific game’s rules before using automated input. Playsaurus warns that some online multiplayer games restrict it and recommends checking the terms of service; the cited pages do not establish the policy of any particular game. Playsaurus about page
