Install the free Extended Operations update (Game Client Version 1.3.0, released October 1, 2026). Finish the entire campaign on any difficulty to unlock New Game+. Photo Mode is included in the same update, and IO Interactive’s notes do not list a separate progression requirement for it.
Install the Extended Operations update
New Game+ and Photo Mode arrived in Extended Operations, a free update for 007 First Light. IO Interactive identifies it as Game Client Version 1.3.0, released October 1, 2026. Check that your game has updated before looking for either feature. IO Interactive’s Update 1.3.0 patch notes list the update details, and the official release announcement confirms its availability.
The patch notes list these download sizes for version 1.3.0: PlayStation 5, 11.9 GB; Steam, 14 GB; Xbox Series, 13.5 GB; Microsoft PC, 8 GB; and Epic Games Store, 13.6 GB. These are update-specific figures and may differ after later updates or due to platform packaging.
How to unlock New Game+
- Install Extended Operations, version 1.3.0 or later.
- Complete the entire campaign. IO Interactive says completion on any difficulty qualifies.
- After the campaign is complete, use the game’s New Game+ option. The official sources do not specify its exact menu label or button sequence.
The patch notes state: “To unlock New Game+, a completed playthrough of the entire Campaign is necessary.” Choosing a higher difficulty is not required; the release announcement explicitly says any difficulty counts.

What carries into New Game+
IO Interactive says you can replay from the beginning or from any completed checkpoint, and use outfits and gadgets you have unlocked. The patch notes add that you can access the journal to change outfits and swap to gadgets already unlocked at the relevant point in the story. Gadgets still become available in the order the campaign introduces them, so an unlocked gadget cannot be used before its story introduction.
How to get Photo Mode
Install the same Extended Operations update. Photo Mode is included alongside New Game+ and offers camera settings, overlays, filters, visual effects, and poses, according to the official patch notes.

The patch notes do not state a separate campaign-completion or other progression trigger for Photo Mode. They also do not specify an exact menu path or button sequence, so consult the game’s current menus rather than relying on an assumed shortcut.

Finishing the campaign also unlocks 00 difficulty, which the patch notes say is available only after campaign completion.
