To unlock every trail in Break and Steal an Egg, earn in-game cash, visit the Trails Shop beside the Leaderboards on the right side of spawn, purchase each affordable tier, and equip it from the trail equipment menu. A purchase alone does not activate the treadmill multiplier; the trail must be equipped before you train.
The trail ladder, prices and multipliers below reflect listings available in 2026. Roblox games can change their economy or shop layout in an update, so treat the figures as the current reference rather than permanent guarantees.
How many trails are in Break and Steal an Egg?
Current trail tables list 11 trails, beginning with White and ending with Moonlight. Every trail is bought with the game’s cash earned through the egg-stealing loop. The practical progression is linear: buy the strongest tier you can afford, equip it, use its treadmill bonus to build Speed faster, and return to farming when the next price is within reach.

Trails improve Speed gained while training on the treadmill. They do not replace a pickaxe, increase the number of animals you can carry, or make a guardian harmless. If egg-breaking, carrying capacity or escaping is your limiting factor, a trail may not be the most useful next upgrade.

Rarities are included where they are reported in the current listings. The cost column is in-game cash, not a Robux price. The final two entries are the major late-game targets: Secret requires $600 billion, Laser requires $8 trillion, and Moonlight requires $100 trillion.
What you must do before buying a trail
Cash comes from the game’s core loop rather than from simply standing in the shop. Your preparation should cover four activities:
- Train on the treadmill. Training builds Speed, which helps you move through the game more effectively.
- Travel to a zone. Zones contain the eggs you are trying to break.
- Break an egg with your pickaxe. Pickaxe performance controls egg-breaking time, so it is a separate progression axis from trail Speed.
- Steal and bank the animal. Press E to steal the animal after breaking the egg, escape the guardian, and return the animal to your base. Animals placed in your base contribute to cash generation.
A failed escape costs more than a few seconds: it interrupts the cash cycle that funds the next trail. Build enough Speed and use an appropriate pickaxe for the zone you are farming instead of assuming that a trail alone solves every problem.

Step-by-step: buy and activate each trail
- Start with a cash target. Check the table and choose the next trail you can realistically reach. White is the first practical target because its $500 price is low compared with the later tiers.
- Farm animals for cash. Train on the treadmill, go to a zone, break an egg with your pickaxe, press E to take the animal, escape the guardian and bank the animal at your base. Repeat the loop until you have enough cash for the selected trail.
- Return to the Safe Zone. The shop is in the spawn area. From spawn, walk to the right side and locate the Trails Shop beside the Leaderboards.
- Purchase the trail. Interact with the shop and select the highest tier for which you have enough in-game cash. The progression is not a consumable rental: purchased trails are reported as permanent unlocks, so you can switch back to an owned trail later without paying for it again.
- Open the trail equipment menu. Buying adds ownership, but it does not necessarily make that trail active. Find the newly purchased trail in the equipment interface and select the equip option.
- Confirm the active selection. Check that the trail is shown as equipped before you begin the next treadmill session. If the menu still shows another trail as active, select the new one again rather than assuming the purchase changed your loadout.
- Train after equipping. The multiplier applies to treadmill Speed gain while that trail is equipped. Equip first, then train; training done while another trail was active does not retroactively receive the newer multiplier.
- Resume the cash loop. Use the improved treadmill gain to reach the next price, then repeat the same shop-and-equip process. You do not need to repurchase an earlier trail when changing loadouts.
Choosing the right point on the ladder
Early game: White through Purple
White, Blue, Green and Purple form the affordable opening sequence. White costs $500 for a 2× multiplier, Blue costs $7,500 for 4×, Green costs $100,000 for 8×, and Purple costs $1.2 million for 16×. Buy the next tier when its price is within reach rather than saving indefinitely for a distant late-game trail. Each upgrade gives you a higher treadmill multiplier that can shorten the next farming cycle.
Do not skip basic equipment checks during this phase. If breaking an egg takes most of a run, a pickaxe upgrade can produce more completed steals than a trail upgrade. If you are fast enough to reach an egg but cannot survive the guardian escape, improve the reliability of that part of the route first.
Midgame: Red through Galactic
Red costs $17.5 million for 40×, Golden costs $250 million for 100×, Rainbow costs $3.5 billion for 250×, and Galactic costs $45 billion for 600×. These tiers are where the cash targets become large enough that route efficiency matters. Keep the treadmill, egg-breaking and escape portions of a run balanced: an excellent trail cannot compensate for repeatedly losing animals on the return trip.

Use the strongest trail you already own while farming. Because ownership is permanent, there is no reason to save an older trail for a later “free” purchase; switch among owned trails only when you have a specific reason to do so.
Late game: Secret, Laser and Moonlight
Secret is listed at $600 billion for 1,500×. The next step, Laser, costs $8 trillion for 4,000×, making the Secret-to-Laser price increase the largest single cash hurdle in the listed sequence. Expect this stage to require a long farming period and protect each successful animal delivery.
Moonlight is the current endgame entry at $100 trillion for 10,000×. Treat it as a long-term target rather than a normal early upgrade. Continue using Secret or Laser, whichever you own, while improving the non-trail parts of your run so that each farming cycle contributes toward the $100 trillion requirement.

Trail upgrades versus other improvements

This decision framework prevents a common mistake: spending every dollar on a trail while the actual bottleneck is the pickaxe or the return trip. Select the upgrade that removes the slowest or least reliable stage of your current loop.

The trail was purchased but not equipped
This is the most important check. Buying records ownership, while the multiplier is tied to the equipped trail. Open the trail equipment menu, select the purchased item, and confirm that the interface marks it as active. Then start a new treadmill session.

Changing trails after a treadmill session does not change Speed already earned. Equip the trail first and perform the next training session with the new selection active.

You are measuring the wrong activity
Trail bonuses are for treadmill Speed gain. They are not a stated replacement for pickaxe performance, carrying capacity or guardian-escape ability. If the complaint is that an egg still breaks slowly, inspect the pickaxe rather than the trail.
You are in the wrong menu or location
Purchases happen at the Trails Shop beside the Leaderboards on the right side of spawn, while activation happens in the equipment menu. Return to the Safe Zone if you are searching for the shop, and use the equipment interface after the purchase.
The interface did not refresh
If a newly bought trail is absent from the equipment list, close and reopen the menu. Rejoin the experience if the selection still does not appear, then check the ownership list again. Do not buy a second time until you have verified that the first purchase truly failed; owned trails are intended to remain available without repurchase.
The game has updated
Prices, multipliers, shop contents and equip behavior are update-sensitive. If the in-game labels disagree with this table, trust the live shop and equipment interface for that session, and note that a later game update may have changed the progression.
A practical route for unlocking all 11
- Reach and equip White as soon as you have $500.
- Continue the treadmill-and-animal loop until Blue, then Green and Purple are affordable.
- Use Red and Golden to accelerate midgame training while maintaining a pickaxe capable of breaking the eggs in your chosen zone.
- Move to Rainbow and Galactic when your cash balance supports them; avoid entering a harder zone if the guardian escape is not reliable.
- Plan Secret as the bridge to the final economy. Once Secret is equipped, focus on consistent, loss-free farming while building the $8 trillion Laser fund.
- After Laser, keep the same discipline for the $100 trillion Moonlight target. Equip Moonlight immediately after purchase so the 10,000× treadmill multiplier is active for subsequent training.
This route is deliberately progressive. The table’s multipliers are not a guarantee of a fixed number of seconds saved in every activity, because only treadmill Speed gain is identified as the trail effect. Your actual cash rate also depends on the zone, pickaxe, carrying capacity, successful escapes and how consistently animals reach your base.
Unlock checklist
- Earn enough in-game cash for the next listed tier.
- Return to the Safe Zone and find the Trails Shop beside the Leaderboards on the right side of spawn.
- Purchase the trail once; ownership is intended to be permanent.
- Open the trail equipment menu and select Equip.
- Verify the new trail is active before treadmill training.
- Use a pickaxe suited to your egg-breaking target.
- Press E after breaking the egg, escape the guardian and bank the animal.
- Recheck the live shop after major game updates because the economy and interface can change.
What to remember
The complete listed ladder contains 11 trails, and the unlock process has two separate actions: buying and equipping. Cash earned from successful animal runs funds the purchases; the equipped trail then improves treadmill Speed gain. Keep pickaxe performance, carrying capacity and escape reliability in the plan, because those systems determine how quickly you can turn each run into the cash needed for the next tier.
