007 First Light’s October 1, 2026, Update 1.3.0 adds free DLC called Extended Operations, including New Game+, 00 difficulty, Photo Mode and new TacSim activities. Some features are available after updating; others require finishing the campaign, earning TacSim clearance and Intel, linking an IOI Account or claiming a time-limited Twitch Drop. Here’s where to find each feature and what unlocks it.
Update the game to get the new features
Install the latest update through the storefront for your platform. IO Interactive’s Update 1.3.0 patch notes, dated October 1, 2026, list Extended Operations as free DLC. The patch also includes more than 700 fixes and improvements covering areas such as crashes, progression blockers, audio, localization and UI polish.

These features are for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC versions listed on the official game FAQ. An IOI Account is optional for playing the game, though certain rewards require one. The FAQ says the main campaign can be played offline after the one-time internet connection needed for the Day 1 patch; online features such as leaderboards and challenges require internet access.

Campaign: unlock New Game+ and 00 difficulty
Finish the campaign first
Complete the entire campaign to unlock both New Game+ and 00 difficulty. Neither is unlocked simply by installing Update 1.3.0. Choose New Game+ when starting another campaign run.
Use New Game+ features
- Change outfits: Use the journal in New Game+ to select outfits.
- Restart at a checkpoint: The journal also lets you restart from a selected checkpoint.
- Swap gadgets during a mission: You can change gadgets mid-mission, but only among gadgets already unlocked at that point in the story. New Game+ does not make later-story gadgets available early.
Use Photo Mode
Update 1.3.0 adds Photo Mode, with camera settings, overlays, filters, visual effects and poses. Open Photo Mode in-game and follow the interface prompts for its controls: IO Interactive’s notes describe the available tools but do not specify button-by-button inputs.

Find the new TacSim activities and Jack the Bulldog
The new TacSim activities are separate from the campaign. Find them in the TacSim area at MI6 HQ.
Valhalla Protocol
Drive the Aston Martin Valhalla in Slovakia, using weapons and aiming for a score goal. It is a TacSim driving activity, not a new campaign mission.

Return to The Pearl Hotel in Vietnam to recover documents from a safe in a villa. IO Interactive says attempts differ, so expect variation between runs.

Unlock the Update 1.3.0 TacSim weapons and outfits
The two new weapons require both the specified clearance level and Intel. Meeting the clearance requirement alone does not grant the weapon; spend the listed Intel to unlock it.

Claim rewards with account linking or Twitch
The Grey Standard outfit
Link the game to an IOI Account by November 1, 2026, to receive The Grey Standard. An IOI Account is not needed to play, but this particular reward has an account-linking requirement.

The One More Twitch Drop is listed as available from October 1, 2026, at 15:00 UTC through October 16 at 17:00 UTC. Claim it during that window. The patch notes identify the reward and dates but do not state further participation steps, so check the official update information for the current Drop instructions.

Update 1.1.0, released July 24, 2026, added two three-tier TacSim Escalations: The Workshop and Extraction Avenues. It also introduced Intel-purchased rewards that require reaching the listed clearance level first.

See IO Interactive’s Update 1.1.0 notes for those additions. The publisher said that update fixed or improved more than 200 issues. Update 1.1.1 is described in its patch notes as focused on stability and achievements.
What is live, and what was only planned?
Use the October 1, 2026, Update 1.3.0 notes as the source for features available in that release. IO Interactive’s earlier Year One announcement and FAQ described a roadmap that included TacSim additions, a G2 Glasses gadget, a story-continuing mission, Photo Mode, New Game+, Path Tracing for Nvidia GPUs and other additions. Photo Mode and New Game+ are confirmed in Update 1.3.0; do not assume that every other roadmap item is already live or free without a later official confirmation. The Year One announcement also said plans could change and did not include pricing details.
