Reach level 10, complete your faction’s Shugo Festival quest, then join from Main Menu > Content > Shugo Festival. Elyos characters unlock the event through Visions in Smoke; Asmodians use Urgent Pursuit. At the top of each server-time hour, registration opens for three minutes. Click the Shugo icon or timer beside the minimap, select an available activity, and accept the teleport prompt. Playing is free, and Reward Keys are used only afterward for Monster Cube picks.
The live client may show nine or 11 activities depending on patch and region. The in-game festival schedule is therefore the final authority, while the roster and tactics below cover every game currently documented.
Unlock requirements by faction
Shugo Festival becomes available when your character reaches level 10 and finishes the correct faction quest. The quests are commonly recommended around level 13, but the event itself opens at level 10.

- Go to Caelid at the Dawn Legion Base in Verteron.
- Accept and complete Visions in Smoke.
- Open Main Menu > Content > Shugo Festival to confirm access.
AllThingsHow’s guide lists 81,539 EXP, 5,700 bound Kina and a Noble Belt for this quest. Those reward figures are guide-reported and can change with a client update.

Asmodian: Urgent Pursuit
- Finish Veiled Truth.
- Find Ulgorn at Quai Campsite in Altgard.
- Accept and complete Urgent Pursuit.
- Open Main Menu > Content > Shugo Festival and check the activity list.
The same guide reports 65,160 EXP, 6,100 bound Kina and a Noble Belt for Urgent Pursuit; treat those numbers as version-sensitive rather than permanent values.
When Shugo Festival starts
Rounds begin at :00 server time, every hour. The important part is the short gathering period: registration remains open for approximately three minutes. Being online at the wrong time does not put you into a queue automatically, so check the server clock and be ready before the hour changes.
The Shugo icon and its adjacent timer appear beside the minimap during registration. An event site can also provide access through a Shugo Festival Manager. Documented entry locations include Verteron’s Garden of the Illusion God, Altamia Canyon and Altgard’s Safe Haven. If the icon is not visible, travel to the relevant event site and speak with the manager, then check the menu for the same round.
How to enter a mini-game
- Prepare before the hour. Finish loading screens, clear enough inventory for event items and move to a safe location. The event is free, but a round can fill or close while you are travelling.
- Watch for :00 server time. The three-minute ready or gathering phase starts at the top of the hour.
- Open the entry control. Click the Shugo icon or the timer beside the minimap. You can also use Main Menu > Content > Shugo Festival.
- Choose one available activity. The panel shows the games accepting registrations and, where exposed by the client, their capacity.
- Confirm registration. Select the game and accept the teleport prompt. A prompt can be worded similarly to “Teleport to Not This Tile? region?”
- Wait for the match to form. Registration closes when the three-minute window ends or when a game’s player cap is reached. A round may be cancelled if too few players register.
- Play for the minimum score. Every activity has a score threshold. Missing it can forfeit the normal participation reward even if you entered successfully.
- Collect post-game rewards. Participation itself does not consume a Reward Key. Keys are spent after the activity on Monster Cube selections.
There is no entrance fee. AllThingsHow states the rule plainly: “There is no cost to play.”

The following table combines the nine-game rotation described by AllThingsHow and Mobalytics with two additional activities listed by AION 2 Tier List. Times are the documented activity limits, not a promise that every client uses exactly the same timer.

The final two entries may depend on rollout, region or patch. If either is absent from your festival panel, it has not necessarily been removed permanently; use the live schedule for your client.
How to play each mini-game well
Jump Jump
Treat the floor warnings as your primary information. A warning marks where a bomb will appear, while the red lasers define the immediate movement hazard. Collect ordinary balloons when the route is safe, but prioritize a pink balloon when you need to cross a dangerous section because it grants brief invulnerability. Short, deliberate movements are safer than continuous sprinting in a small arena.
Not This Tile?
Use the opening view to memorize color patterns and route landmarks rather than trying to follow other players. The game repeats the memory test over eight rounds, so note the sequence mentally from one safe tile to the next. A wrong finish costs points; when uncertain, pause long enough to identify the color instead of committing to a guess that can reduce your score.
Hidden Lugi
Your role changes the correct approach. A Lugi should collect Odyle Drops while breaking line-of-sight and avoiding obvious, repeated paths. A Shugo should watch movement that does not fit the surrounding disguises and identify the Lugi before the collection run ends. Because the match supports both roles, focus on the role assigned to you rather than copying another player’s route.
Odyle Flight Frenzy
Keep enough Flight Power for the next section instead of spending all of it on an early burst. Acceleration rings both increase speed and refill Flight Power, so line up for rings whenever the route allows. Flying directly through a chain of drops is generally more reliable than making sharp last-second corrections for a single item.

Goldrin’s Treasure
Use the light beams as directional clues: they indicate that a chest is nearby, so turn toward the beam before scanning every ledge. Fragments contribute points, making a quick sequence of nearby chests more useful than a long detour for one distant target. Keep your camera wide enough to see the cliff route and the next beam at the same time.

Wraith Evasion
When you are still collecting, change direction before a wraith reaches your path and avoid predictable loops. Being caught changes your role: you become a wraith until you tag another player. Once transformed, stop trying to collect and concentrate on a clean tag; returning to the collecting role is the fastest way to resume scoring.
Mysterious Track
Learn the obstacle rhythm on the first lap and save boost pickups for straight sections or recovery after a collision. The objective is two laps, so a controlled line that avoids repeated crashes can beat a reckless opening sprint. Watch the track ahead rather than the pet model when an obstacle is approaching.
Defend Shugo Merchants
Split attention between both merchants instead of allowing one side to collapse while the group fights elsewhere. Use Petrification Chests on ordinary attackers to create breathing room. Do not waste a chest on an exploding insectoid: those enemies are immune, so handle them with direct damage and positioning. Cooperative communication matters more here than individual movement speed.
Up! Up! Up!
Keyboard controls are recommended because precise, repeatable taps make moving-platform jumps easier to correct than broad analog movements. Aim for the first checkpoint immediately; reaching it is the stated condition for receiving a reward. Once the checkpoint is secured, choose a steady platform rhythm and avoid rushing a jump merely to match another player’s pace.

Nyerk Shooter
This is a fixed-camera timing challenge. Track the falling Pangs and fire as they enter a predictable line, while reserving jump timing for Rotan hazards. If the activity appears in your client, practice the camera’s firing angle during the first few seconds rather than moving constantly and losing the target lane.
Shugo’s Dilemma
Read the displayed player number before stepping onto a platform. The goal is an exact count, not simply occupying any open space. Coordinate with nearby players by moving on and off together, and use Odyle Drops as bonus opportunities only after the required platform count is secure. An incorrect count loses points.
Scores, Reward Keys and post-game rewards
Minimum score and placement
Each activity has a minimum score requirement. Entering a match does not guarantee the participation reward: falling below that threshold can forfeit it. Higher placement generally provides more Monster Cube card picks, so surviving and scoring consistently is more valuable than taking a risky route for one extra item.
What Reward Keys do
- Keys are used after a game for Monster Cube selections.
- They are not an entry ticket and are not consumed when you register or play.
- Keys are shared between characters on the same server.
- You can still enter and practice with no keys, but you cannot claim the normal Monster Cube picks without the required key balance.
Daily supply and storage cap
Current guides report three Reward Keys added daily. They disagree on storage capacity: one value is 12, while another gives 21 for members. Because this is live-service data and the guides do not establish a single universal cap, check the key counter and its tooltip in your own client before planning a stockpile.

The level-based token figures and the Enhancement Stone amount are guide-reported rather than a permanent system guarantee. Inspect the reward panel after each round, especially after a balance patch.

Which mini-game is easiest?
There is no universal winner because the games test different skills and the player mix changes each hour. Use the objective type and control demand to choose the activity that matches you:

This is a fit-based guide, not a guaranteed ranking. A game with fewer players can still be harder if its controls are unfamiliar, and a cooperative activity can be easier when enough players cover the objectives.
Common entry and reward problems
The Shugo icon does not appear
- Check that the server clock has reached :00 and that the three-minute registration phase is still active.
- Open Main Menu > Content > Shugo Festival manually.
- Confirm that you completed the faction quest and are at least level 10.
- Travel to a documented event site and speak with a Shugo Festival Manager.
The game is listed but registration fails
The activity may have reached its player cap, or its registration window may have closed. Select another available game or wait for the next hourly start. If the panel shows too few participants, the round can be cancelled rather than teleported.
I entered but received nothing
Check whether your score met the activity’s minimum. Participation alone is not enough when the threshold is missed. Also distinguish the participation reward from Monster Cube picks: the latter require Reward Keys after the game.
I have no keys
You can still register and play for practice and any participation reward your score qualifies for. The missing keys affect the post-game Monster Cube selection, not access to the mini-game itself.
A listed activity is missing
Client rollout differs: guides updated October 12–19, 2026 describe a nine-game rotation, while another current list also names Nyerk Shooter and Shugo’s Dilemma. Use the activities shown in your live festival schedule for your region and patch.
Version and availability notes
The level-10 quests, hourly timing, three-minute registration window, minimap entry control and post-game key model are consistent across the dated gameplay guides available for this event. Reward values, key caps and the number of exposed mini-games are more changeable. No official NCSoft reference was identified for these specific values, so recheck the in-game panel after patches and rely on the live client when it conflicts with an older guide.
