Turn off Wi-Fi Calling in Settings
- Open Settings.
- Tap Connections.
- Tap Wi-Fi Calling.
- Tap the switch to turn the feature off. Samsung documents this Settings route for Galaxy phones; exact screens may differ by provider and software version. Samsung Support US
This switch controls Wi-Fi Calling, not the phone’s Wi-Fi connection. Your S21 can remain connected to Wi-Fi after Wi-Fi Calling is disabled.
If Wi-Fi Calling is missing from Settings
Check the Phone app
- Open the Phone app.
- Tap More options (the three-dot menu), then tap Settings.
- Tap Wi-Fi calling and switch it off if the option appears. Samsung Support Canada
Ask your carrier if the option is still absent
Wi-Fi Calling availability depends on the carrier and device, and some settings vary by provider. If neither menu shows the feature, contact your carrier to ask whether Wi-Fi Calling is supported and provisioned for your device and account. Samsung Canada says screens and settings may vary by provider and software version; its call-settings page was last updated August 29, 2026.
Optional shortcut: Quick settings
Some Galaxy phones include a Wi-Fi Calling icon in the Quick settings panel that can toggle the feature. The icon may not be available or arranged the same way on every S21, so use Settings or the Phone app as the primary routes. Samsung Support US

What changes when you turn it off
Wi-Fi Calling lets you make and receive calls over Wi-Fi when cellular coverage is weak or unavailable. Samsung describes the feature here. Once disabled, the phone no longer uses Wi-Fi Calling as its call route. Calls may instead rely on your carrier’s cellular calling path; how a particular call is handled depends on the carrier.
