To stop Candy Crush seasonal-event alerts without deleting the game, first check the game’s own event setting. Open Candy Crush Saga, tap the pink gearwheel, choose Features, and switch off the seasonal-event feature if it is listed. If that control is unavailable, disable Candy Crush notifications in your phone’s settings: Settings > Notifications on most Android phones, or Settings > Apps > Candy Crush > Notifications on iPhone. The in-game switch is narrower; the phone-level switch blocks Candy Crush notifications generally.
What you can turn off—and what you cannot
Seasonal-event alerts are reminders about limited-time activities, objectives and rewards. King describes these as pop-ups and messages that tell you what an event involves and what you can earn. They are separate from your game installation and saved progress.
- In-game event setting: affects only a supported feature or event, if Candy Crush lists one in its settings.
- Phone notification setting: stops Candy Crush notifications delivered by Android or iOS, including ordinary game alerts as well as event reminders.
- Event availability: blocking notifications does not automatically delete progress or cancel an event. An event can remain available until its in-game timer expires.
- Messages shown while playing: a prompt displayed inside Candy Crush is an in-game message. A phone-level notification switch controls alerts sent through the operating system; it does not guarantee that every message displayed during play will disappear.
King notes that some features can be turned off in game settings, but not every feature supports deactivation. If the event control is missing, use the system-level method for your device.

Use this option when you want to keep other Candy Crush notifications but silence a particular seasonal feature. The wording and list of available features can change as events rotate.

- Open Candy Crush Saga.
- Tap the pink gearwheel to open the game settings.
- Choose Features.
- Look for the seasonal-event feature or event-related switch.
- Turn that switch off.
If you do not see a seasonal-event entry under Features, there is no in-game switch available for that event on your current installation or account. Do not assume that another setting will control it; King says not all features can be deactivated. Move to the Android or iPhone instructions below.
Option 2: Block all Candy Crush notifications on Android
Android provides a per-app kill switch. Menu names differ by manufacturer and Android version, so your phone may use Apps or Apps & notifications instead of presenting the same path on every device.

- Open your phone’s Settings app.
- Tap Notifications. If you do not see Candy Crush there, open Apps or Apps & notifications and then select the app.
- Select Candy Crush.
- Turn the app’s notification switch off.
After the switch is off, Android will no longer deliver Candy Crush notifications through the notification shade, banners or other enabled notification surfaces for that app. The exact label can be Allow notifications, All Candy Crush notifications or a similar manufacturer-specific phrase.
If you only want to hide alerts on the lock screen
Blocking the app entirely is broader than necessary when your problem is visibility on the lock screen. Android also offers lock-screen presentation choices, such as showing or hiding notifications. Open the Candy Crush notification controls and choose the lock-screen behavior that fits your goal. Use the app-wide switch when you want Candy Crush alerts stopped everywhere, not merely concealed while the phone is locked.
Option 3: Block all Candy Crush notifications on iPhone
On current iPhone software, notification controls for an app are reached from the Apps list in Settings.

- Open Settings.
- Tap Apps.
- Choose Candy Crush.
- Tap Notifications.
- Turn Allow Notifications off.
This disables Candy Crush notifications delivered by iOS, including seasonal-event reminders. Apple notes that if Notifications does not appear for an app, that app may not be able to send notifications on the device. In that case there is no iPhone notification permission to change for Candy Crush; any messages you see may be generated inside the game instead.

The first method is the least disruptive but is available only when King exposes that event as a switch. The Android and iPhone switches are reliable when you want every Candy Crush alert stopped, but they are broader than a seasonal-event-only control.

Why seasonal events may still appear after notifications are off
The event is still active in the game
Turning off operating-system notifications changes how the phone alerts you; it does not necessarily remove the event from Candy Crush. Open the event panel and check its timer. A limited-time event can continue until its stated expiry even when no reminders are delivered.
You are seeing an in-game pop-up
Seasonal events can display instructions, objectives and reward information while you are using Candy Crush. Those messages are part of the game interface rather than a notification sent by Android or iOS. If you want to suppress that specific feature, check Pink gearwheel > Features. If no matching switch exists, the game does not provide a documented event-level off control for that feature.

The wrong notification control was changed
On Android, verify that the selected app is Candy Crush and that its main notification switch is off; manufacturer menus can place the control under Apps or Apps & notifications. On iPhone, verify that you followed Settings > Apps > Candy Crush > Notifications and turned off Allow Notifications.
You changed presentation instead of delivery
Hiding alerts on an Android lock screen does not necessarily disable banners or notification-shade entries. If your goal is zero Candy Crush alerts, use the app-wide notification switch rather than only a lock-screen preference.
How to restore Candy Crush event alerts later
Both platform-level controls are reversible.
- Android: return to the Candy Crush notification page in Settings and turn the app notification switch back on.
- iPhone: return to Settings > Apps > Candy Crush > Notifications and turn Allow Notifications on.
- In-game control: open Candy Crush, tap the pink gearwheel, choose Features, and re-enable the listed event feature.
Re-enabling notifications does not guarantee that an expired event will return. Seasonal activities are time-limited, so check the event’s timer and availability in the game.
A practical decision guide
Choose the in-game switch when
- You want to silence one seasonal feature but keep other Candy Crush reminders.
- The event appears under Features and has an on/off control.
- You are comfortable with other event messages remaining available.
Choose the Android or iPhone switch when
- You want no Candy Crush alerts from the phone at all.
- The seasonal event is not listed under the game’s Features settings.
- You prefer a device-level control that can be reversed later.
Choose lock-screen customization when
- The alerts are acceptable elsewhere but expose too much information on the lock screen.
- You still want notification-shade or banner access.
- You are using Android, where lock-screen presentation choices are available in notification settings.
What happens to progress and rewards?
Disabling notifications is not the same as uninstalling Candy Crush or deleting its data. The notification controls described here only govern alerts from the operating system. They do not instruct the game to erase progress, and they do not automatically end a seasonal event. If you want to continue an event silently, open Candy Crush directly and use the event screen to monitor its remaining time and objectives.
Because event notices can explain what to do and which rewards are available, turning alerts off means you may not receive those reminders. The event’s own timer and screens remain the place to verify whether it is still active.
