To track changes reliably, monitor the official AMC or scheme page, save a dated baseline, and compare later screenshots or a specific page region. Then check alerts against the live page before treating them as meaningful: mutual fund NAVs change regularly, so a changed number alone is not evidence of a redesign or disclosure change.
Choose the official page to monitor
Start with the exact AMC or scheme page relevant to your purpose—such as an investor notice, scheme disclosure, factsheet link, risk display, or page design. SEBI’s mutual-fund resources page links to AMFI resources including scheme information, latest NAV history, AMC links, and factsheets. Use those resources to locate the relevant official destination, then record its exact URL.
Decide what kind of change matters before configuring a monitor. A visual redesign calls for screenshot comparison; a change to wording or a document link may be easier to detect with text or element monitoring. If the page offers tabs, consent choices, or other interactions, identify the specific state you want checked. A URL alone may not reproduce every interactive state.

Where supported, select the relevant text or element and confirm that the monitor is reading the intended content. Visual and text approaches can be complementary: a screenshot shows presentation, while text comparison may make a wording change easier to inspect.
Cloud or local monitoring
Check whether the service can access the target page from its monitoring environment. Remote-page access can fail or require configuration changes; Distill documents change history and version comparison, and notes remote-browser access issues with local monitoring as a possible alternative in its change-history documentation. If a cloud check cannot see the page consistently, trial a local-browser option where available rather than trusting incomplete captures.

Set up a baseline and review changes
- Open and verify the page state. Visit the official URL and, if needed, make the relevant consent, tab, or other interaction choice. Confirm that the visible content is the content you intend to monitor.
- Save a dated baseline. Capture the initial screenshot or version. Record the exact URL and capture date; note the region or element selected and any interaction needed to reach it.
- Choose a proportionate check frequency. Set a cadence based on how important and time-sensitive the change is. No universal interval for Indian AMC pages is established by the sources cited here. Make sure the saved capture is legible before relying on alerts.
- Inspect each alert. Review the before-and-after views or version history, then open the current official page to confirm that the change is real and relevant. AMFI says scheme NAVs are published on the respective mutual-fund websites and AMFI’s website daily; open-ended scheme NAVs are declared after markets close. If the goal is to track design or disclosure changes, focus on the relevant static region or use text/element filters where the monitoring service supports them. If the goal is to track a NAV value, monitor that value deliberately and interpret it as data movement rather than automatically labeling it a visual redesign.

Troubleshooting missed or noisy alerts
- The capture is blank or incomplete: Open the saved capture and compare it with the page in your own browser. Check whether the page needs an interaction or whether remote access is failing; try configuration changes or a local monitor if available.
- Every check reports a difference: Inspect the changed area. A regularly changing NAV or other dynamic content may be producing noise; narrow the monitored region or use text/element comparison for the static disclosure or wording you care about.
- An alert does not match what you see now: Check the alert’s version and date, revisit the exact URL, and reproduce the same page state before concluding that the content changed.
- A key notice or link change is missed: Confirm the selected region or element includes that notice or link and that the saved capture is legible. Consider pairing visual capture with text or element monitoring if the service supports both.
- The page becomes inaccessible to the monitor: Re-test the exact page and assess whether the service’s access method or configuration needs to change. Do not treat an absent capture as evidence that the page stayed unchanged.
