Track JST burns by filtering TRON contract events for the JST TRC-20 contract TCFLL5dx5ZJdKnWuesXxi1VPwjLVmWZZy9, identifying transfers to documented uncontrolled addresses, and then waiting for confirmation or solidification before counting them. A transfer to a burn address is evidence that tokens were sent somewhere inaccessible; it is not, by itself, proof that the token contract reduced totalSupply.
For reliable monitoring, keep the transaction ID, event index, block data, decoded amount, destination, and confirmation state. Send a provisional alert when the event first appears, then a finalized alert after the same event is confirmed. Verify every public total against the transaction in TRONSCAN and the published JustLend records.
What JST is and what a burn transaction means
JST is a TRC-20 token issued on the TRON network. The documented contract address is TCFLL5dx5ZJdKnWuesXxi1VPwjLVmWZZy9. Always use that address as your filter; searching for the ticker alone can mix JST with an unrelated token using the same symbol. The maximum supply stated for JST is 9,900,000,000 tokens.

Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →On TRON, a burn is not defined merely by a recipient’s name or by the appearance of a familiar-looking address. A token contract can reduce supply only when its own logic changes the supply accounting, normally through a burn function or equivalent internal operation. Sending tokens to an address for which nobody controls the private key generally makes those tokens unusable, but the contract may still count them in totalSupply. TRON’s FAQ describes this distinction directly: tokens sent to a burn address usually become inaccessible, but that does not necessarily reduce totalSupply.

Two meanings of “burn” to keep separate
- Destination-based burn transfer: a JST
Transferevent whosetoaddress is one of the documented uncontrolled addresses. This proves an irreversible-looking transfer to that destination, subject to confirmation; it does not prove a supply decrease. - Contract-level supply burn: the token contract executes burn logic or emits a burn-specific event and updates its supply accounting. This is stronger evidence that circulating or total supply changed.
Your database and alerts should preserve both classifications instead of collapsing every transfer to an inaccessible address into “supply burned.”
Documented JST burn destinations
TRON documents these Base58 addresses as burn destinations:
T9yD14Nj9j7xAB4dbGeiX9h8unkKHxuWwbT9yD14Nj9j7xAB4dbGeiX9h8unkKLxmGknT9yD14Nj9j7xAB4dbGeiX9h8unkKT76qbHT9yD14Nj9j7xAB4dbGeiX9h8upfCg3PBbY
Use an exact, normalized comparison against this allowlist. Do not infer that an arbitrary account is a burn address because it has no visible activity. If your software converts addresses to TRON’s hexadecimal form internally, convert both the event value and the allowlist consistently before comparing them.
Put the qualification in user-facing notifications: “JST transfer observed to a documented uncontrolled address; supply reduction not established by destination alone.” That wording prevents a wallet movement from being reported as a protocol-level supply change.
Published JustLend buyback-and-burn rounds
JustLend’s tokenomics materials describe a buyback program in which purchased JST is sent to a burn address. The listed rounds are:
| Round | JST amount | How to use the figure |
|---|---|---|
| Round 1 | 559,890,753 JST | Compare with the corresponding on-chain transfer records. |
| Round 2 | 525,000,000 JST | Compare with the corresponding on-chain transfer records. |
| Round 3 | 271,337,579 JST | Treat as a separately listed round and verify its transaction evidence. |
The official Q4 2025 report records 1,084,890,753 JST — JustLend DAO, 2026, equal to 10.96% of the stated maximum supply after the first two cycles. That report figure is a published program total, not a substitute for checking each transaction. A monitoring system should be able to show which transaction IDs make up a reported round and whether each event is finalized.

Step 1: Pin the contract before querying
- Store
TCFLL5dx5ZJdKnWuesXxi1VPwjLVmWZZy9as the only JST contract identifier in your configuration. - Store the four documented burn destinations as a separate allowlist.
- Read the token’s decimals from the contract or a trusted contract metadata response. Do not assume that JST uses 18 decimals.
- Keep raw integer amounts in storage. Convert to human-readable JST only for display, using
display_amount = raw_value / 10^decimals.
Keeping the raw value avoids rounding errors and lets you reproduce an explorer’s exact amount later.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Step 2: Find historical JST burn transfers with TronGrid
TronGrid provides an indexed contract-events endpoint suitable for historical backfills. Query events for the pinned JST contract, then filter for the TRC-20 Transfer event. Where the endpoint supports the signature filter, use Transfer(address,address,uint256) as well as event_name=Transfer. Add only_confirmed=true when you are building an accounting or publication dataset rather than a provisional feed.
The request should also be bounded by a block range or timestamp window. Small windows make retries safer and prevent a first backfill from loading an unmanageable result set. A request shape is:
GET /v1/contracts/<JST_CONTRACT>/events?event_name=Transfer&event=Transfer(address,address,uint256)&only_confirmed=true&min_block_timestamp=<start_ms>&max_block_timestamp=<end_ms>
Use the actual TronGrid base URL and authentication method configured for your account. Limits, quotas, and supported parameters can change, so check the current API documentation before deploying.
Fields to retain for every event
- Transaction ID: the stable key for manual verification and deduplication.
- Event index: a transaction can emit more than one transfer, so the ID alone is not always sufficient.
- Block number and block timestamp: use chain data for ordering rather than the time your server received the response.
- From and to addresses: decode the indexed event parameters and preserve their original representation.
- Raw value and converted JST amount: store both forms, along with the decimals used for conversion.
- Confirmation or solidification state: record whether the event is provisional or final for your workflow.
- Explorer reference: retain the TRONSCAN transaction or contract-events view you used for manual review.
Paginate with the fingerprint
TronGrid responses expose a fingerprint cursor for the next page. Save that cursor together with the exact filters used for the request. Request the next page with the same contract, event, confirmation, and time or block filters; changing filters while reusing a cursor can skip records or produce an inconsistent backfill. Continue until the response contains no next fingerprint.
For a repeatable importer, checkpoint after each successfully stored page. If a request fails, retry the same page rather than advancing the cursor. Deduplicate on transaction ID plus event index so a retry cannot create duplicate burns.

Step 3: Classify each candidate burn
After decoding a Transfer event, apply the contract and destination tests in this order:
- Confirm that the event’s contract address exactly matches
TCFLL5dx5ZJdKnWuesXxi1VPwjLVmWZZy9. - Confirm that the event is a token transfer, not an event from another contract sharing the JST symbol.
- Normalize the
toaddress and compare it with the four documented burn destinations. - Check whether the transaction is confirmed or solidified. If not, label it provisional.
- Inspect the transaction and contract logs for an explicit burn function or burn-specific event. Record that evidence separately from the destination match.
A useful status model is:
| Status | Meaning | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Candidate | Matches the JST contract and a burn destination, but the event has not been checked for finality. | Internal queue or fast notification. |
| Observed burn transfer | Decoded transfer is valid and points to a documented uncontrolled address. | Public-facing event feed with the destination caveat. |
| Finalized burn transfer | The same event is confirmed or solidified. | Accounting, dashboards, and cumulative totals. |
| Contract-level burn evidence | Burn logic or a burn event shows that supply accounting changed. | Supply-reduction claims, subject to contract-state verification. |
Never replace a finalized transfer status with a stronger supply-reduction claim unless the contract-level evidence supports it.
Step 4: Verify a transaction manually
- Copy the transaction ID from your event record.
- Open the transaction in TRONSCAN and select the JST contract-events view when reviewing the token’s event history.
- Confirm the contract address, event signature, sender, destination, raw value, and decoded JST amount.
- Check that the block is confirmed or solidified according to the state shown by the explorer or API.
- Look for a burn function call or additional event indicating a supply-accounting change.
- Save the transaction ID and the verification timestamp with your record.
If the explorer and your indexer disagree, do not average the values. Recheck that you queried the same contract, used the same decimal conversion, selected the same event index, and did not mix confirmed and head-of-chain results.

Step 5: Choose a continuous monitoring method
TRON documents several event-delivery paths. The right choice depends on latency, historical coverage, and how much infrastructure you want to operate.
| Method | Latency and history | Finality handling | Operations trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| TronGrid HTTPS polling | Simple polling interval; indexed historical queries are convenient. | Use confirmed filters for final records and a second pass for head events. | Lowest operational burden, but quotas, rate limits, and provider availability apply. |
| TronWeb event access | Useful for application-level monitoring and contract interaction. | Your code must track provisional versus confirmed state. | Requires a running service and careful retry and deduplication logic. |
| FullNode ZeroMQ | Lower-latency node-side notifications when configured correctly. | Finality remains your responsibility; persist and reconcile events. | Requires node access, configuration, and operational monitoring. |
| Self-hosted event plugin | Control over delivery and retention, with custom indexing options. | You define confirmation depth or solidification checks. | Highest control and infrastructure workload. |
For a small alert service, start with HTTPS polling and a bounded overlap window. Move to node subscriptions or a self-hosted plugin when polling latency, rate limits, or event volume becomes a constraint.
Step 6: Design two-stage alerts
TRON applications should distinguish broadcast, inclusion, execution result, and solidified state. For burn tracking, expose at least two user-visible states:

Detected alert
Send this when a matching transfer first appears near the chain head. Include the transaction ID, amount, destination, block information if available, and the sentence that destination matching does not establish a reduction in totalSupply. This alert is useful for fast awareness but should not update an accounting total.
Finalized alert
Send this when the same transaction and event index are returned as confirmed or otherwise solidified. Mark the prior alert as finalized rather than sending a second unrelated burn. Use this state for dashboards, reports, and cumulative totals.
Maintain an idempotency key such as transaction_id:event_index. Store the first-seen time, last-seen time, current state, and notification IDs so retries do not spam subscribers.
A practical polling loop
The following pseudocode shows the control flow without assuming a particular programming language or notification provider:
load checkpoint {window_start, fingerprint, mode}
repeat:
page = query JST contract Transfer events
with the saved time/block window
and the saved fingerprint
for event in page.events:
key = event.transaction_id + ":" + event.event_index
if event.contract_address != JST_CONTRACT:
continue
if normalize(event.to) not in BURN_DESTINATIONS:
continue
raw = event.parameters.value
amount = raw / (10 ** JST_DECIMALS)
state = "finalized" if event.confirmed_or_solidified else "detected"
upsert event by key
notify only when state advances
save page.fingerprint
if no next fingerprint:
advance the time/block window with a small overlap
clear fingerprint
wait for the polling interval
The overlap is deliberate: it catches events that were indexed shortly after the previous window closed. Deduplication by transaction ID and event index makes the overlap safe.

The same transaction contains multiple transfers
Store each event separately using its event index. Only the transfer whose destination matches the burn allowlist should receive the burn-transfer label.
The amount looks wrong
Compare the raw integer first. Then verify the decimals value read from the JST contract and ensure your display code did not round large integers through a floating-point type. Use a decimal or integer-safe library for conversion.
A destination is not on the allowlist
Do not silently classify it as a burn. Record it as an ordinary JST transfer and require an explicit, documented update before adding a new destination to the burn list.

Reconciling on-chain events with published totals
For each JustLend round, build a reconciliation record containing the published amount, the transaction IDs found by your event query, the sum of finalized raw values converted with the JST decimals, and any difference. A difference can arise from an incomplete time range, a still-unconfirmed event, a decimals mistake, or a published figure that groups more than one transfer. Investigate the cause instead of forcing the sums to match.
The tokenomics materials state that buyback and burn records are disclosed through official channels and on-chain logs. Use those records as a cross-check, while treating finalized chain events as the basis for your own event ledger. Keep the report date with every comparison because burn counts, dashboards, and program totals can change.
Minimum production checklist
- Filter exclusively on
TCFLL5dx5ZJdKnWuesXxi1VPwjLVmWZZy9. - Maintain the four documented burn destinations as a versioned allowlist.
- Store raw values, decimals, decoded amounts, transaction IDs, event indexes, block data, and state.
- Use
event_name=Transferand, where supported, the full transfer signature. - Use
only_confirmed=truefor finalized backfills and accounting. - Follow the fingerprint cursor with unchanged filters.
- Deduplicate by transaction ID plus event index.
- Separate detected from finalized notifications.
- Describe destination matches as inaccessible transfers unless contract-level burn evidence is present.
- Verify representative records in TRONSCAN and reconcile published JustLend rounds.
- Monitor API errors, lag, missed windows, and notification failures.
Bottom line
A dependable JST burn monitor is a small event-indexing system, not a ticker search. Pin the official contract, detect transfers to the documented destinations, preserve raw event data, and issue provisional and finalized alerts separately. Count a transfer as a supply reduction only when the JST contract’s own burn logic or state proves that totalSupply changed.
