Match the case to your phone’s exact model and variant, then confirm that its camera opening clears the housing without covering a lens, flash, or sensor or pressing on the camera module. Phone dimensions alone do not prove a case will fit.
Will this phone case fit around my camera bump?
You can’t tell from the phone’s overall size alone. A case may fit the body but have an opening that is the wrong shape, position, or depth for the camera housing. Belkin’s Australia support FAQ explains that even phones with the same overall size can have camera areas at different heights, which can determine case fit: Belkin Clear Series FAQ.
Check the case against your exact phone model
Read the case’s compatibility list and match it to your phone’s complete model name and, if available, its model number. A similar family name or matching body dimensions is not enough; the listing should identify your exact phone or explicitly include the compatible variant. If it does not, treat compatibility as unconfirmed and ask the seller or case maker.
Inspect camera clearance and protection
Compare the opening’s shape and position with the full camera housing. It should leave the lenses, flash, and sensors unobstructed and provide enough room for the housing’s footprint and height. The case should not press on the camera assembly. A mismatch can prevent the phone from seating evenly or leave it unstable.

Keep fit and protection separate. A raised edge around the camera can help keep lenses from touching a flat surface, but it does not prove the opening matches your phone. If you use a lens protector, check that it does not rise above or interfere with the case’s camera edge.
Install the case and check the fit
- Start at the camera end: align the camera cutout with the phone’s camera before pressing the rest of the phone into the case. Huawei Support gives this sequence for installing a TPU case: Huawei Support: The protective case does not fit properly on my phone.
- Seat the case without forcing it. Adjust it if needed, but stop if it will not sit evenly or seems to press on the camera module.
- Check that the phone sits stably and that no lens, flash, or sensor is covered.
- Test the buttons, charging-port opening, speakers, microphones, and other exterior features.
- If you use a lens protector, confirm that the case still seats correctly and that the protector does not interfere with its raised camera edge.
A tight case may not look perfectly symmetrical around every cutout. Huawei recommends aligning the camera first and adjusting the case; judge the result by clearance and stable seating, not symmetry alone.

Compare cases using the same fit checks
When choosing between cases for one phone, compare the exact model compatibility, camera-opening shape and clearance, raised camera-edge coverage, button and port alignment, and fit with any lens protector or other accessory. More coverage around the camera does not automatically mean a better fit: protection and a correctly matched opening are separate properties.
