Choose the right workflow before adding product pages
PageCrawl is built to check selected pages, compare captures, and alert you when it detects changes. Its Visual tracking mode compares screenshots, making it useful for catalog quality assurance and recurring review. As its product FAQ puts it, “PageCrawl is not an uptime monitor: uptime tools answer ‘is the site up?’, PageCrawl answers ‘what changed on the page?’” PageCrawl.io
If you need each URL rendered once and delivered as image files in a folder or archive, the reviewed PageCrawl documentation does not confirm that output workflow. Check with the vendor before relying on it for one-time image delivery.
Prepare and add your catalog URLs
- Make a scoped URL list. Export product-page URLs from your ecommerce platform or catalog feed. Remove duplicates and non-product pages. Keep a product name column if it will help you identify pages later. This is preparation advice; do not assume PageCrawl validates that every imported URL is a product page.
- Open Track New Page. Choose Bulk Add to paste URLs one per line, Import from File for a CSV or Excel workbook, or Scan a Website if you want PageCrawl to discover pages. File import lets you select the URL column and an optional name column. See the bulk page management guide and advanced page setup guide.
- Review what the scan finds. A site scan is useful when you want automatic discovery; a curated import gives you control over which catalog pages enter the batch. Check the resulting page list before applying a shared configuration.
Configure one representative product page first
When you paste a batch, PageCrawl loads the first URL for preview and applies shared settings to the batch. Use that first page as a test, not as proof that every product template renders identically.

- Choose Visual tracking if your goal is screenshot comparison. Product pages may receive suggested Price or Restock tracking; those are different from visual monitoring.
- Choose whether the capture should cover the full page or a selected region. Full-page capture can help reveal layout, image, or content changes lower on a product page. A selected region may be more stable when only a particular product area matters.
- Inspect the preview for cookie banners, popups, chat widgets, and other overlays. PageCrawl documents controls for cookie banners and overlays, as well as waits for content to appear.
- Check pages with lazy-loaded content. PageCrawl documents scroll-to-load behavior and uses a JavaScript-enabled browser; preview representative pages to confirm content appears in the capture.
- Use a template or bulk edit only after confirming the sample behaves as intended. Templates can be reused across many pages; bulk edit can change settings such as screenshot enablement, device, language, and folder. Bulk editing is documented as a paid-plan feature.
Set device, language, and location for the Indian storefront
PageCrawl exposes Location and View settings, and its bulk editing guide includes device and language settings. Select the language and device that match the storefront you need to inspect, then examine the available locations in your account.
The reviewed documentation does not confirm an India-specific proxy or location. PageCrawl mentions datacenter and residential proxies, as well as custom proxies, but that does not establish that India-based rendering is available to your account. If the storefront changes by country, verify the current location selector or confirm availability with PageCrawl before treating a capture as India-origin.

Export the results PageCrawl documents
The bulk management guide documents exporting selected pages’ current values, change history, and configuration to Excel. That is a spreadsheet export; the reviewed documentation does not establish a ZIP or folder export of screenshot image files. The product page describes storing full-page screenshots and says Enterprise includes unlimited screenshot storage. Check current plan terms to determine whether its retention and quotas fit your catalog.
Plan capacity and cost around checks, not just URLs
PageCrawl’s product page lists page and monthly check quotas by plan, plan-dependent check frequency, and prices that exclude VAT, with applicable taxes calculated at checkout. These are changeable vendor-published terms, not guaranteed future prices. Check the current pricing page against your page count, check cadence, and screenshot storage needs before committing. Troubleshooting common catalog capture problems
- The preview shows a price or stock result instead of a screenshot comparison: select Visual tracking explicitly; suggested Price or Restock tracking is not the same mode.
- Product details are missing in the screenshot: check whether the page reveals them after scrolling or interaction. Use the documented scroll-to-load and content-wait controls, then preview again. Pages that require an interaction may need closer review before applying shared settings.
- A banner or overlay obscures the product: review PageCrawl’s cookie-banner and overlay controls, and verify the preview after changing them. Dynamic popups can also make screenshot comparisons less stable.
- The capture does not look like the Indian storefront: inspect the account’s location and language options. India-specific proxy availability is not confirmed in the reviewed documentation; ask PageCrawl if an India-origin capture is essential.
- You cannot change settings across the batch: bulk editing is documented as a paid-plan feature. Templates provide another documented way to reuse settings, but verify the representative page first.
- You cannot find downloaded screenshot files in the Excel export: the documented export contains current values, history, and configuration, not a confirmed image archive. Ask the vendor about image-file delivery if that is required.
