Edge
For the current page, Ctrl+0 resets zoom on Windows and Linux; Command+0 does so on macOS. Edge also has a default Page zoom option in Settings > Accessibility and lets you manage site-specific zoom. See Microsoft Edge accessibility features.
Firefox
Open the Firefox menu to see the current zoom and use its minus or plus controls as needed. To capture, right-click an empty area of the page and choose Take Screenshot, or press Ctrl+Shift+S (Command+Shift+S on Mac). Choose Save full page or Save visible; Firefox can download the image or copy it to the clipboard. See Firefox Screenshots.
For technical captures, Firefox DevTools can enable a toolbox button for a full-page screenshot. Its Web Console :screenshot helper supports options including --fullpage, --dpr, --delay, and a filename. These options control capture behavior; device-pixel ratio is not the same as browser page zoom. See Firefox Web Console commands.

Safari
Figma’s browser-configuration guide documents this site-specific path for Safari: Safari > Preferences > Websites > Page Zoom, then set the open website to 100%. The instructions are in the context of configuring Figma; menu names and locations may vary across macOS releases. See Figma: Set up your browser for Figma.
What 100% zoom changes—and what it does not
Page zoom controls the scale of webpage content. It does not set the browser window’s dimensions, operating-system display scaling, or the screenshot’s pixel density. Nor does it guarantee an identical layout across browsers. A full-page capture also has a different scope from an image of only the visible viewport.
DevTools has its own zoom level, separate from the rendered webpage. Microsoft’s Edge DevTools instructions say to focus the desired area—DevTools or the rendered page—before resetting zoom; Ctrl+0 or Ctrl+NumPad0 resets the focused area on Windows or Linux, while Command+0 does so on macOS. If you want to reset the webpage, focus the page first. See Microsoft Learn: Zoom in and out of DevTools.

Make screenshots reproducible
If the image is evidence or part of a design comparison, note the conditions that affect how it looks and how many pixels it contains:
-
Browser and version, and operating system.
-
Window or viewport dimensions.
-
Page zoom, confirmed at 100%.
-
Capture scope: visible viewport or full page.
-
Device-pixel-ratio setting, if the capture tool exposes one.
Firefox’s screenshot tooling exposes a device-pixel-ratio option, illustrating why “100% zoom” alone does not specify output resolution. See Firefox Web Console commands.

Troubleshooting
The page still looks too large or too small
Check the site-specific zoom level as well as the global setting. Chrome and Edge both provide controls for managing per-site zoom. In Safari, Figma’s guide documents a site-specific Page Zoom setting; the precise path can vary by macOS release.
The shortcut changes DevTools instead of the webpage
Click the rendered webpage to give it focus, then reset page zoom. DevTools and the page have independent zoom levels.
The screenshot is the wrong size or omits content
Confirm whether you need a viewport or full-page capture. If exact pixel dimensions matter, check the viewport and any device-pixel-ratio control separately from page zoom.
The saved image does not match another person’s screenshot
Compare browser and version, operating system, viewport dimensions, page zoom, capture scope, and DPR setting. A 100% setting by itself does not make captures identical.

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. One GET request can return a screenshot or PDF; its API accepts the URL and capture options. See the ScreenshotNeo site and API documentation.
For example, this cURL request captures the target URL:
Quick Recap
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your key and change the target URL as needed. ScreenshotNeo removes cookie banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers report the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server offers take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf for AI agents and other MCP clients. The Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots.
