To capture a whole webpage in Firefox, open its screenshot tool and choose Save full page—not Save visible. Right-click an empty part of the page and select Take Screenshot, or press Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows or Linux or Command+Shift+S on macOS. Then download the image or copy it to the clipboard. Mozilla’s instructions describe both capture options.
Save the entire page in Firefox
- Open the webpage you want to capture.
- Right-click an empty area of the page and select Take Screenshot. Alternatively, press Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+S on macOS.
- In the screenshot controls, select Save full page in the upper-right corner. This captures beyond the browser’s visible viewport.
- Choose Download to save the image in Firefox’s default download folder, or choose Copy to paste it into another application.
If you prefer a toolbar button, Mozilla says you can add the Screenshot button using the Firefox menu’s More Tools → Customize Toolbar workflow. The names and controls described here are from Mozilla’s current help article, accessed October 3, 2026.
Full page versus visible area

If the screenshot still cuts off the bottom
First reopen the screenshot controls and confirm that you chose Save full page. Save visible is a separate choice and will not include content below the viewport.
If you selected full-page capture and the result is still incomplete, the available evidence does not establish one current cause or a universal fix. The checks below come from an archived Mozilla Support discussion about Firefox 67.0.4 on Windows 10 in June 2019. Treat them as troubleshooting clues, not guarantees about current Firefox versions.

Check whether an extension or theme is involved
Try Firefox with extensions disabled or in its troubleshooting mode, and test with the default theme. If the screenshot works then, re-enable extensions or restore your theme one at a time to see whether the problem returns. The historical forum discussion suggested these checks but does not establish which, if any, will resolve a current cutoff.
Test hardware acceleration cautiously
One participant in that 2019 discussion reported improvement on one page after disabling hardware acceleration, but also reported continued problems with longer pages. That is an individual historical report, not a confirmed general fix. If you test the setting, note its current state first and restore it if the test does not help.

Very long pages may remain difficult
The archived discussion included a moderator’s suggestion that size limits could affect very long captures. It did not establish a current maximum page height or a reliable threshold. Do not assume that every cutoff has the same cause, or that changing a setting will make an unusually long page capturable.
