There is no single full-page screenshot shortcut that works in every browser. In Firefox, use Ctrl + Shift + S on Windows or Linux, or Command + Shift + S on Mac, then choose Save full page. In Chrome, open DevTools’ Device Mode and choose More options → Capture a full size screenshot. A full-page screenshot includes content beyond the part currently visible in the browser window.
What “full-page” means
A visible-area screenshot captures only what is currently displayed in the browser viewport. A full-page screenshot captures the page beyond that viewport, including content farther down the page. The browser shortcut or menu may only open a screenshot interface; you may still need to choose a separate full-page command.
Firefox: use the screenshot shortcut, then save the full page
- Open the webpage you want to capture.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + S on Windows or Linux, or Command + Shift + S on macOS. Alternatively, right-click an empty area of the page and choose Take Screenshot.
- Choose Save full page in the screenshot interface. Choose Save visible only if you want the current viewport.
- Download the image or copy it to the clipboard. While the screenshot interface is open, Mozilla also documents Ctrl/Command + S to save and Ctrl/Command + C to copy. Mozilla’s Firefox screenshot instructions were last updated June 15, 2026.
Chrome: capture a full-size screenshot in DevTools
- Open the webpage, then open Chrome DevTools.
- Activate Device Mode.
- Open Device Mode’s More options menu and select Capture a full size screenshot.
That command captures the whole page, including content outside the viewport. The separate Capture screenshot option captures only the current viewport. Ctrl/Command + Shift + P opens the DevTools Command Menu; it is not itself a one-step full-page screenshot shortcut. See Chrome’s Device Mode instructions, last updated February 20, 2024.
Edge and Safari: check the installed browser before relying on a shortcut
Microsoft Edge
Secondary reporting dated September 29, 2026 gives this route: press Ctrl + Shift + S, then choose Capture full page. That shortcut and label are not confirmed here by official Microsoft documentation, and availability or behavior may vary by device, market, and browser version. If the shortcut does not open the feature, look for Screenshot in the browser menu and check the commands shown in your installed version. Guiding Tech’s Edge instructions are secondary reporting.

Safari on Mac
A current official Mac-specific source confirming a desktop Safari full-page screenshot shortcut or workflow is not established here, so no keyboard shortcut is given. Apple’s screenshot instructions cover iPhone rather than verifying full-page capture in Safari on Mac. Do not assume that a shortcut from another browser applies.
At a glance
| Browser | Shortcut or route | Full-page action | Output established by documentation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firefox | Ctrl + Shift + S (Windows/Linux); Command + Shift + S (macOS); or right-click → Take Screenshot | Choose Save full page | Image download or clipboard copy |
| Chrome | DevTools → Device Mode → More options | Choose Capture a full size screenshot | Screenshot capture; a universal export format is not established here |
| Edge | Secondary reporting: Ctrl + Shift + S | Reported label: Capture full page; verify in your installed version | Not established by the cited secondary report |
| Safari on Mac | Not verified | Not verified | Not established |
Troubleshooting
- The shortcut opens a tool, but the image shows only what is on screen. Choose Firefox’s Save full page, not Save visible. In Chrome, choose Capture a full size screenshot, not Capture screenshot.
- The key combination does nothing. Confirm the browser and operating system: Firefox uses different modifier keys on Mac than on Windows or Linux. You can open Firefox’s screenshot tool from the page context menu. In Chrome, use the DevTools route rather than expecting the Command Menu shortcut to capture the page directly.
- An Edge instruction does not match your menu. The reported shortcut and wording are not confirmed by official Microsoft documentation here. Look for Screenshot in your browser menu and use the option actually available in your installed version.
- You are using Safari on Mac. Do not substitute another browser’s shortcut; the desktop Safari full-page workflow is not verified by the sources cited here.

ScreenshotNeo takes a webpage screenshot through a single GET request, returning PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. Its API accepts a URL and can perform a full-page capture.
Rank #2
For example, this cURL command saves a WebP screenshot of the target URL; replace the example URL with the page you need and provide your API key:
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for parameters. Before capture, it accepts cookie or consent banners like a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each step can be turned off. Bot checks and CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. An MCP server provides screenshot tools for AI agents, including Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients.
