You can run prerecorded yoga classes continuously on YouTube by creating a YouTube Live broadcast and sending it from an encoder that loops your videos. YouTube does not provide a native setting that turns an ordinary uploaded-video playlist into a 24/7 livestream. You can use free software such as OBS on a computer, or use a cloud service to keep the stream running without leaving a home computer on.
What you need before you start
- A YouTube channel eligible for live streaming. YouTube says the channel must be verified, have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days, and the streamer must be at least 16. Check current access in YouTube Studio before preparing the broadcast. YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance explains eligibility.
- Yoga-class videos and audio that you created or have rights to use in a livestream. Keep copies of relevant permissions and license terms.
- An encoder that can send the prepared media to YouTube Live. OBS is a free, open-source software option; dedicated encoding hardware is optional. See the OBS Help Portal.
- A reliable internet connection and a plan for what happens if the encoder or connection stops.
How to loop yoga classes on YouTube Live with an encoder

Prepare and check your videos
Make a playlist of classes that you own or are expressly licensed to livestream. Check that each file plays through, its audio is clear, and the transition back to the first video is acceptable. If your music license has limits by territory, platform, or type of use, confirm that continuous livestreaming is covered. A license does not necessarily stop a Content ID interruption: for licensed material, ask the rights holder to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist.

Create the live broadcast in YouTube Studio
Open YouTube Studio and create a live broadcast using the encoder option. Set the title, description, visibility, and thumbnail. YouTube’s encoder streaming guidance covers the platform workflow. Copy the stream key from the live control room into your encoder only; treat it like a password and do not publish or share it.

Configure the encoder to play and repeat the playlist
In OBS or your chosen encoder, add the prepared media and configure playback to continue through the list and return to its beginning. The exact controls vary by encoder and version, so verify the loop in a private or unlisted test broadcast before relying on it. Confirm that video and audio continue across the final-to-first transition. YouTube’s documentation supports encoder-based broadcasting but does not prescribe one universal playlist-loop configuration.

Start the encoder and confirm the broadcast
Start streaming from the encoder, then check YouTube Studio’s live control room to confirm that YouTube is receiving the feed and the broadcast is live. Monitor the opening and a playlist transition before leaving it to run. Keep the stream key private; if it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.

Plan separately for class replays
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while streams over 12 hours may not be captured at all. If viewers need a replay of each individual class, record the classes separately and upload or publish those recordings independently rather than relying on the 24/7 livestream archive. Keep rights and YouTube policies in view
Copyright can interrupt a live broadcast
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, including other live broadcasts. If it detects a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you to stop using the material; leaving it in place can lead to interruption or termination. A license is not a guarantee against a match or interruption. Check that the permission covers your actual livestream use, territories, and distribution, and arrange Content ID allowlisting with the rights holder where needed. YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams describes detection and allowlisting. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the content provider to hold necessary rights, including music rights.
Originality matters for monetization
YouTube’s monetization policies include live streams. Repetitive or mass-produced programming may be ineligible, and reused-content review is separate from copyright enforcement: having permission does not by itself establish monetization eligibility. Build a channel around original teaching or other meaningful viewer value, with classes that are materially varied rather than simply repeating the same material at scale. YouTube makes the eligibility decision under its current policies; a continuous yoga channel is not guaranteed to qualify. See YouTube’s channel monetization policies.

Troubleshoot common failures
- YouTube does not receive a signal: Check that the encoder is streaming, the selected broadcast is the intended one, and the stream key matches the key shown in YouTube Studio. Keep the key private.
- The stream starts but stops after a class: Check the encoder’s playlist or media-source loop settings and verify that the final file reaches its end cleanly. Test the return to the first class instead of assuming a playlist will repeat automatically.
- Audio or video drops at a transition: Play the relevant files locally and inspect their endings and beginnings. Adjust the sequence or prepare cleaner transitions, then test the revised playlist in a non-public broadcast.
- YouTube warns about copyrighted material or interrupts the stream: Stop using the matched material unless you have the necessary rights. Confirm the license covers livestream use and request Content ID allowlisting from the rights holder when appropriate. YouTube may still act on a match while the issue is unresolved.
- The livestream is missing from the archive: A stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured. Keep separate recordings and publish individual classes if replay access matters.
- The computer or connection goes offline: A local encoder depends on the computer and its internet connection staying available. Restart the encoder and check the YouTube control room; for unattended operation, consider a cloud workflow with recovery rather than assuming a local stream will resume itself.
