You can run recorded coaching lessons as a continuous YouTube Live broadcast by sending them through an encoder, then looping a playlist of lesson files. First confirm that your channel can go live and that you have rights to every part of the recordings. For a do-it-yourself setup, YouTube Studio supplies the stream URL and key; the encoder supplies the video feed. If you do not want a computer running at home, StreamNeo can loop uploaded recordings from the cloud.

Before you set up the stream

  • Check live access. YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. Its getting-started guidance also sets a minimum age of 16 for streaming. Review the current YouTube live-streaming requirements before scheduling a broadcast.
  • Choose a continuous feed deliberately. Viewers joining a 24/7 stream arrive at whatever lesson is playing then; they cannot reliably start at lesson one or choose a class as they could from separate on-demand videos. Use a live loop for an always-available channel, and keep individual lesson uploads or a course index if students need a specific sequence.
  • Prepare a playlist. Arrange the lesson recordings in the order you want them to repeat. Check transitions, audio levels, titles, and any breaks or announcements. The encoder or playout service must support looping or playlist playback; YouTube’s encoder setup instructions explain connecting a feed, but do not prescribe a particular loop application.
  • Clear all rights. Check not only the instructor’s lecture but also slide images, music, video clips, and other embedded media. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content and may replace the broadcast with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. For licensed material, the rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist; a license alone may not prevent interruptions if your channel is not allowlisted. See YouTube’s guidance on copyrighted content in live streams.

Set up a do-it-yourself YouTube Live loop

  1. Open YouTube Studio and create a live stream. In YouTube Studio, select Create > Go live, then configure the stream in Live Control Room. Follow YouTube’s current encoder setup instructions. If the channel is not eligible, resolve verification or access restrictions before building the rest of the setup.
  2. Copy the stream URL and stream key. In Live Control Room, use the stream settings to obtain the server URL and stream key. Treat the key like a password: do not post it, share it publicly, or include it in a recording. Select or create a stream key appropriate to the encoder, then enter the URL and key in the encoder’s streaming settings.
  3. Load the lesson files into an encoder or playout setup. Select the playlist or looping arrangement, set the desired order, and enable repeat. Software encoding is a documented option; YouTube describes professional-grade hardware encoders as appropriate for higher-production-value events, not a prerequisite for a straightforward prerecorded loop. Compare whether you need local production control, monitoring and recovery, and whether you are prepared to keep the equipment and internet connection operating.
  4. Set output to match the source and connection. Avoid upscaling a low-resolution recording simply to select a larger output. In the encoder, choose a resolution and frame rate your source supports, and use the bitrate guidance shown in YouTube’s current encoder setup page for that resolution. The supplied YouTube setup guidance does not establish one bitrate suitable for every lesson, encoder, or connection, so do not treat a single number as universal. Configure the encoder’s stream key and server URL exactly as shown in Studio.
  5. Start the encoder and inspect the preview. Start sending the playlist feed, then check that Live Control Room receives it. Confirm picture, sound, and lesson order before starting the public broadcast. YouTube’s live-streaming tips recommend checking the preview, testing access from channel and watch pages and mobile devices, monitoring audio and video, and checking the archive.
  6. Go live and monitor the loop. Once the incoming preview is correct, start the stream from Live Control Room if the setup requires it. Keep an eye on the encoder, connection, and YouTube status; a local encoder depends on the machine and internet connection staying available. Verify playback from another device rather than relying only on the control-room preview.

Plan for recordings, rights, and monetization

Do not rely on a complete YouTube archive of a 24/7 feed

YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. A continuous 24/7 broadcast therefore should not be treated as a guaranteed complete video-on-demand copy. Keep the original lesson files and, if a durable recording matters, make a separate local archive backup. See YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance.

A loop does not guarantee monetization

YouTube’s channel monetization policy applies to live streams. On July 15, 2025, YouTube renamed “repetitious content” as “inauthentic content” and clarified that repetitive or mass-produced content is ineligible under its existing original-and-authentic-content standard. Review can consider the channel as a whole, including its main theme, most-viewed and newest content, share of watch time, metadata, and About section. A coaching replay may provide educational value, but running it continuously does not by itself establish eligibility for the YouTube Partner Program or guarantee ad revenue. Read the current YouTube channel monetization policies.

Or let it run in the cloud

StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for keeping uploaded videos live as a 24/7 stream. Upload your lesson recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud loops the uploaded videos, so nothing has to stay running at home. It accepts uploads as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot regardless of quality; it also automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly service is $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are available in India. See StreamNeo for details, then start the free first day.
