You can keep bhajans live on YouTube around the clock by sending either a live performance or a rights-cleared, prerecorded playlist through YouTube Live. For a do-it-yourself setup, enable livestreaming on your channel, create a stream in YouTube Studio, connect an encoder with the stream URL and key, then test and monitor the feed. For a cloud option that does not depend on a computer staying on at home, StreamNeo loops uploaded videos to YouTube.
Choose between a live performance and a prerecorded playlist
First decide what viewers will receive. A live performance needs a singer or ensemble, suitable audio capture, and a camera or other visual. A prerecorded playlist needs recordings and visuals that you have permission to broadcast. In either case, YouTube treats the feed as a live stream; 24/7 availability does not guarantee a complete replay archive.
- Live performance: Use an encoder for a controlled production, connect your audio and video sources, and plan who will watch for sound, picture, and chat issues.
- Prepared playlist: Use an encoder or a cloud playout service to send a continuous feed. Do not assume a track bought for personal listening, or a video already on YouTube, can be rebroadcast.
YouTube’s available livestream methods include mobile, webcam, encoder, and console. An encoder is the relevant route for a prepared feed or a more controlled performance. YouTube describes software and hardware encoders; a laptop and webcam can be enough to begin, while it recommends professional-grade hardware encoders for higher-production events. No particular microphone is required: choose audio capture appropriate to the performance.
Check channel eligibility and activate livestreaming
- Verify your YouTube channel and enable live streaming in YouTube Studio ahead of launch. YouTube says first-time activation may take up to 24 hours, so do not leave this until broadcast day.
- Confirm the channel has not had a livestream restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube’s current Help guidance also sets a minimum age of 16 for livestreaming.
- Allow time to complete any setup prompts and test the channel before announcing the stream.
These are YouTube eligibility and activation conditions, not a guarantee that a particular broadcast will remain uninterrupted.

#1 Best Overall
- Search, browse and play thousands of videos.
Create the YouTube stream and connect an encoder
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live. Create a stream or schedule it for later, then set its title, description, visibility, and other stream details.
- In Live Control Room, copy the stream URL (server URL) and stream key into the matching stream settings in your encoder.
- Keep the stream key private. It functions like a password for sending a feed to your YouTube stream. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube and update the encoder before broadcasting.
- Configure the encoder’s audio and video sources. For a live singer, check the instrument and vocal balance; for a playlist, confirm the complete sequence and visual loop play as intended.
- Start the encoder and use the Live Control Room preview to confirm that YouTube is receiving the right picture and sound before going live.
A scheduled stream can be promoted and may appear to subscribers as upcoming. YouTube’s setup and creator guidance explain the current workflow: set up a live stream, create a live stream with an encoder, and schedule a live stream.
Test bandwidth, sound, and the viewer experience
- Leave upload headroom: Run an upload speed test and choose a bitrate that fits the available connection. YouTube recommends leaving 20% upload headroom; other people and devices sharing the network can reduce the bandwidth available to the encoder. Treat that figure as a planning recommendation, not a guarantee.
- Test representative content: Check audio and motion similar to the actual broadcast. Listen for clipping, low volume, background noise, and channel imbalance; verify that the visual does not freeze or show an unintended desktop or scene.
- Check the preview and watch page: Inspect the Live Control Room preview before going live and open the viewer-facing page on a phone to confirm it plays as expected.
- Monitor the stream: Keep an eye on YouTube’s stream health and on audio and video during the broadcast. Testing reduces risk; it does not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Protect music and visual rights before going live
You are responsible for having the necessary rights for both the live broadcast and any archived content. YouTube’s livestream terms specifically cover music licensing rights involving artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. A bhajan’s devotional or traditional subject matter does not by itself establish that a particular recording, arrangement, performance, or image is free to rebroadcast.
Before using each track and visual, document permission that covers the territories and uses you plan: live transmission and, if needed, an archive. Do not infer rebroadcast permission from owning a copy, purchasing a download, or finding a video on YouTube. Requirements can depend on the recording, composition, rights holders, and jurisdiction; check the applicable permissions rather than assuming one rule covers every bhajan.

YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. A match can interrupt or terminate a stream. Even if you have a licence, the rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Resolve that with the rights holder before launch where applicable. Read YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams and livestream terms and conditions.
Plan for archive limits and long-running streams
A continuous live feed and a complete replay are separate requirements. YouTube automatically archives streams under 12 hours; streams longer than 12 hours may not be archived. If keeping a complete video matters, make a separate local recording or organize the broadcast as shorter streams, with the added work of ending and restarting them.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Troubleshoot common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Live streaming is unavailable | The channel is not verified, live streaming has not been enabled, activation is still processing, or the account does not meet YouTube’s eligibility conditions. | Verify the channel, enable live streaming in YouTube Studio, allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation, and check for a restriction within the previous 90 days. |
| Encoder does not connect | The stream URL or key is wrong, the key was changed, or the network is blocking or interrupting the connection. | Copy the current URL and key from Live Control Room into the encoder, keep the key private, and retry after checking the network. |
| Feed looks unstable or drops | Upload capacity may be insufficient or shared network use may be consuming bandwidth. | Retest upload speed, reduce bitrate if necessary, leave the recommended 20% headroom, and monitor stream health. |
| Audio or visuals are wrong | Incorrect encoder source, playlist item, input level, or scene selection. | Check the selected sources and the full playlist; test representative content and inspect the preview before going live. |
| Stream is interrupted for a copyright match | YouTube detected third-party content, or a rights holder has not allowlisted the channel despite permission. | Stop using the matched material until the rights issue is resolved. Confirm that permissions cover live use and ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting. |
| Replay is missing or incomplete | The stream lasted longer than 12 hours, when YouTube may not archive it. | Use a separate local recording or plan shorter stream segments if a complete replay is needed. |
Costs and practical trade-offs
A local encoder approach uses your own computer and connection, which must remain available and monitored for as long as you want the feed to continue. A cloud playout service shifts the looping task off the home computer, but it does not remove the need to clear music rights, configure YouTube correctly, or decide how to retain a complete replay.
StreamNeo includes one always-on YouTube stream per slot, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops, and team support. Every plan has the same features; only its duration changes. Choose daily, weekly, monthly, six-month, or yearly billing: Daily $0.99 per day · Weekly $2.99 per week · Monthly $9.99 per month · 6 months $49.99 for 6 months · Yearly $89.99 a year. UPI and cards are available in India; card checkout is available worldwide. For five or more slots, contact support. You can cancel any time.
