To stream a regional-language devotional playlist with StreamYard, first decide whether you have one finished video or several separate files. Schedule a single finished video as a prerecorded broadcast if it must start unattended. If you want to play separate files, use StreamYard’s studio and have a host run the live session; those files do not autoplay as a playlist.
Choose the right StreamYard workflow

For an unattended broadcast, combine the bhajans, kirtan, Gurbani, or other regional-language devotional material into one finished video before uploading. For a host-led session where you want to manage the sequence live, use the studio workflow.
Prepare the finished playlist video
For StreamYard prerecorded broadcasts, its Help Center documents MP4 files with H.264 video encoding, uploads up to 10 Mbps, and video up to 1080p on paid plans. Duration limits depend on plan: Core allows up to 2 hours, Advanced up to 4 hours, and Teams and StreamYard Business up to 8 hours. StreamYard also has plan-specific file-size and scheduling-count limits; consult its current plan details before preparing a file around those limits. StreamYard Help Center: Pre-recorded streaming
- Check the completed file’s duration, size, resolution, and encoding against the limits for your plan.
- Confirm the video and audio are in sync and that the playlist plays in the intended order from beginning to end.
- Use recordings and compositions that you have permission to livestream and keep available in the resulting archive.
Connect your YouTube channel
- In StreamYard, add YouTube as a destination while signed in to the Google account associated with the channel.
- Make sure the account has channel ownership or the required role on the channel’s Brand Account. Some channel-permission setups do not let non-owners start streams.
- Confirm YouTube live streaming is enabled and the channel is verified. YouTube activation can take up to 24 hours, so complete this well before the planned broadcast. StreamYard Help Center: Pre-recorded streaming StreamYard Help Center: YouTube destination requirements
Schedule one finished video to play unattended
- In StreamYard, select Create → Live Stream → Pre-recorded video.
- Upload the finished playlist video, or select a past recording if that is the file you want to broadcast.
- Select the connected YouTube destination.
- Choose the broadcast date and time, then enter the title and description for viewers.
- Create the broadcast. It is set to start at the scheduled time and end when the video finishes. An announcement post can make a shareable watch link available earlier; without one, the link may not appear until the stream starts. StreamYard Help Center: Pre-recorded streaming
Run a host-led session with separate files
If the devotional videos are separate files and you do not want to render them into one finished video, share long-form videos in the StreamYard studio and queue them for the session. The host must run the broadcast and control playback; the files do not automatically advance as a playlist. Check YouTube’s rules for prerecorded material presented as live before using this format. Check the broadcast privately before going public
Use a private or unlisted YouTube broadcast to verify the setup before the public event. Check that the intended destination is selected, the video begins and plays correctly, and the audio is audible. StreamYard Help Center: Test your stream
Clear music rights before streaming
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects a match, it may replace the live video with a placeholder; if the content continues, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the broadcast. YouTube advises that a rights holder should add your channel to its Content ID allowlist when you are licensed to use their material. A license alone may therefore not prevent an automated interruption. Confirm rights for both the composition and the particular recording, for livestream and archive use, and ask the rights holder about allowlisting before the event. Troubleshoot common problems
