If you want to listen to an ASMR roleplay playlist continuously, turn on YouTube’s built-in playlist Loop control. If you want viewers to watch it as a public live broadcast, create a YouTube Live stream and send your recordings through an encoder instead. Looping playback is not the same as broadcasting live.
Choose between looping a playlist and broadcasting live

For uninterrupted personal listening, the playlist control is the simplest option and does not require an encoder or additional equipment. For a public broadcast, follow the live-stream workflow below.
Loop an ASMR playlist for personal listening
On a computer
- Open a video that belongs to the playlist.
- Expand the playlist box beside the video.
- Click the playlist’s Loop control.
On a phone or tablet
- Start playing the playlist.
- Open the playlist controls and tap Loop.
- Check that the control is set to repeat the playlist, not just the current video. YouTube can switch between repeating the whole playlist and looping one video when you tap the control again.
On a TV or game console
- Select and start the playlist.
- Open the playback controls.
- Choose Repeat until the control indicates that the playlist is repeating.
YouTube documents these player controls in its playlist help. Playback can still be affected by the app or device’s settings and interruptions.
Broadcast pre-recorded ASMR videos as a YouTube Live stream
A public live broadcast requires a stream in YouTube Studio and an encoder that sends your pre-recorded videos as a live feed. YouTube’s encoder workflow supports software, hardware, and cloud-based encoder options; the controls and exact encoder settings vary by product.

Check that your channel can go live
- Your channel must be verified.
- Your channel must not have had a live-stream restriction in the past 90 days.
- First-time live streaming may take up to 24 hours to become available, so enable it before you plan to broadcast.
Check eligibility and activation in YouTube Studio before scheduling a stream. See YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance and live-streaming restrictions.
Create the stream and connect an encoder
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go live.
- Create a stream in Live Control Room and choose the appropriate stream setup.
- Connect your encoder. If it offers YouTube as a destination, select it and follow its connection steps. Otherwise, copy the YouTube Live server URL and stream key from the stream setup and enter them in the encoder. YouTube’s instructions are to enter the server URL and stream key into the encoder.
- Keep the stream key private. Anyone who has it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
- Start the encoder, confirm that the preview appears in Live Control Room, and then go live.
- When ending the broadcast, stop the encoder’s feed and end the stream in Live Control Room.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. For encoder setup details, see Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.

Plan the playlist as a broadcast, not just a queue
Prepare the videos in the order you intend to play them and make sure the encoder can send them continuously. Decide what viewers will see and hear between recordings, if anything, and check that the stream preview is correct before going live. YouTube’s documented setup establishes how to connect an encoder; the specific playlist or looping controls depend on the encoder you choose.
Check rights, Community Guidelines, and monetization before you go live
Copyright applies to live feeds
Only stream recordings, music, sound effects, and visuals you have the rights to use in a live broadcast. YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. If it detects a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn the channel; if the material remains, the stream may be interrupted or terminated.

A license does not necessarily prevent an interruption. YouTube says the rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Resolve that with the rights holder before relying on licensed material in a continuous stream. Read YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
Permission to use content is separate from monetization eligibility
YouTube’s channel monetization policies apply to live streams. In a clarification dated July 15, 2025, YouTube renamed “repetitious content” to “inauthentic content” and described repetitive or mass-produced material as ineligible for monetization. Reused-content review is separate from copyright: permission to use someone else’s work does not, by itself, show that a channel meets monetization policy. Make your original contribution and meaningful variation clear, and do not assume that owning or licensing the videos guarantees monetization. See YouTube’s channel monetization policies.

Review the playlist as a whole
Playlists are also subject to YouTube’s Community Guidelines. A misleading title or description, or a collection that violates policy as a whole, can be a problem even when individual videos might not violate policy on their own. See YouTube’s playlist policy.
