You can broadcast a Marathi devotional playlist on YouTube Live by sending pre-cleared recordings through a software or hardware encoder connected to YouTube Studio. But “all day” is a schedule, not a guarantee: YouTube may interrupt a stream over copyright matches, and a stream longer than 12 hours may not be archived at all. For a replay, schedule sessions under 12 hours and record a local backup.

Before you start: confirm live-streaming access

  • Verify your YouTube channel and check that it has no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube says streamers must be at least 16 years old. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
  • Allow time to activate live streaming: first-time activation can take up to 24 hours. Do this before the planned broadcast, not at its start time.
  • Choose a software or hardware encoder. For a playlist with a still image or simple visual, software is a reasonable starting point; hardware is optional, not a requirement.

Clear every Marathi devotional recording for live use

Do not start with the assumption that a devotional song is free to stream. A work’s age does not establish the rights status of a particular arrangement, performance, or recording. Check rights for both the musical composition and the sound recording, and confirm that your permission covers live streaming in the territories where the broadcast will be available. YouTube’s Terms of Service put responsibility on the content provider to obtain the rights needed for content they submit.

YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. Its Copyright issues with live streams guidance says streams can be interrupted or terminated. Even if you have a license, ask the rights holder to allowlist your channel through Content ID if a licensed recording is being flagged; otherwise, a match may still interrupt the stream.

  • A purchased track or music-service subscription does not automatically grant live-stream rights.
  • A “royalty-free” label is not enough by itself: read the license and confirm it covers live broadcasts, your use, and the relevant territories.
  • Written credit in your description does not make a recording safe to use. YouTube recommends original music or tracks from the YouTube Audio Library when you need music without third-party clearance.
  • YouTube’s Creator Music terms exclude live streams, so do not assume a Creator Music license for an ordinary video also covers YouTube Live.

No blanket clearance applies to all Marathi devotional recordings. Check the actual rights and license for every recording in your playlist before going live.

Prepare the playlist and broadcast visuals

  1. Make an inventory of the exact recordings and versions you plan to play. Record the rights status and any license conditions for each one.
  2. Arrange the cleared files in the order you want them to play. If you use a still image or other visual, make sure you have permission to use that too.
  3. Set up the playlist playback in your encoder. YouTube supports software and hardware encoders; use an option that can send the playlist continuously and that you can monitor or recover if playback stops.
  4. Decide whether your priority is one uninterrupted listening session or a complete YouTube replay. If you need the replay, plan multiple sessions shorter than 12 hours and record locally as well.

Create the YouTube Live event and connect an encoder

  1. In YouTube Studio, select Create > Go Live and choose the Stream workflow. Create or schedule the event, then set its title, description, visibility, and other metadata. YouTube’s encoder guide explains the stream workflow.
  2. In the Live Control Room, copy the stream URL and stream key into the matching streaming settings in your encoder. Treat the key like a password: anyone who has it may be able to send a feed to your channel.
  3. Start the encoder and wait for the Live Control Room preview. Check that the expected visual appears and that the devotional audio is clear before starting the event for viewers.
  4. Schedule and test ahead of time. YouTube’s live-streaming tips recommend preparation and testing rather than relying on a last-minute start.

Test the stream and protect a local recording

  • Use a stable connection with upload capacity above the encoder’s total outgoing bitrate, leaving headroom for normal fluctuations.
  • Test playback before the public start. Check the Live Control Room preview and watch-page playback, including on a phone.
  • Start a local recording and confirm that its file is growing. Keep enough storage available for the planned session.
  • Monitor both picture and sound during the broadcast. Test a backup or failover encoder in advance if your setup offers one.
  • Keep the stream key private. If you believe it has been exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder settings before broadcasting again.

These steps reduce avoidable problems; they cannot guarantee an uninterrupted stream or a particular level of uptime.

Plan around YouTube’s 12-hour archive and DVR limits

YouTube says live streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but if a stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all. Its archive guidance recommends keeping a local backup. If a complete replay matters, end each session before 12 hours, start a new one for the next part of the day, and record each session locally.

Viewers may also lose rewind access on a very long session. YouTube’s DVR guidance says DVR may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. The threshold concerns archive and rewind behavior; it is not a rule that guarantees or prevents a 24-hour live connection.

Do-it-yourself encoder or cloud playback?

Running the playlist through your own encoder gives you direct control over playback and production, but the encoder and network connection must remain available and someone should monitor failures. YouTube supports software encoders as well as hardware encoders; the available guidance does not establish a universal cost, uptime, or performance advantage for either category.
