To broadcast a prerecorded breathing-exercise playlist as a continuous YouTube Live stream, prepare the videos, create a stream in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, and send the playlist through an encoder or a cloud streaming service. You need a verified channel with live streaming enabled, and YouTube says first-time activation can take up to 24 hours. If you only want to repeat a playlist for yourself, use YouTube’s Loop playlist control instead; that is playback, not a live broadcast.
Choose a live broadcast or personal playlist loop
These are different jobs. A YouTube Live broadcast is a public, private, or unlisted stream sent from an encoder to your channel. It can reach viewers as a live event. Looping an existing YouTube playlist repeats playback for the person watching; it does not create a live stream for your channel.
For a broadcast, YouTube supports encoder workflows using software or hardware. A computer running streaming software can be sufficient; YouTube says expensive equipment is not necessary. Check channel access and video rights first
Enable live streaming in advance
Your channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the past 90 days. YouTube says the first activation can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave setup until the planned broadcast time. Confirm eligibility and activation in YouTube Studio before preparing the event.

Clear every video in the playlist
Use only recordings you have the rights and permissions to stream. Check music, narration, footage, and any other included material, not just the video file as a whole. YouTube’s playlist rules can apply when videos combined in a playlist would violate its Community Guidelines, and matching another copyrighted live broadcast can restrict your ability to stream. Review YouTube’s playlist policies and live-streaming restrictions before going live.
Prepare the stream in YouTube Studio
- Open Live Control Room: In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream. Choose a title and audience settings that describe the breathing-exercise content accurately.
- Set visibility deliberately: Choose public, private, or unlisted based on who should be able to watch. Decide whether viewers need DVR controls to pause or rewind.
- Copy the connection details: YouTube provides a stream URL and stream key in Live Control Room. Enter both in the encoder you will use. Treat the key like a password: anyone who has it may be able to send a feed to your stream.
- Prepare the playlist in the encoder: Add the prerecorded videos in the intended order and configure repeat/loop playback. The exact control depends on the encoder; verify that it loops the video source rather than stopping after one pass.
- Connect and preview: Start the encoder connection, then check the preview in Live Control Room before starting the public broadcast. Follow YouTube’s current encoder prompts and settings for the account.
Test the loop and the connection before launch
Set up the encoder in advance and test the complete path: video playback, the end-to-start transition, audio levels, and the YouTube preview. Confirm the stream can be opened from its watch page and on a phone. YouTube recommends monitoring audio and video continuously and checking the encoder preview before going live; see its streaming tips.

- Check upload capacity, not just download speed. YouTube recommends leaving 20% upload-bandwidth headroom; interruptions in the network can disrupt the stream.
- Use a stable wired connection where possible, and avoid competing uploads or other heavy network use during the broadcast.
- Keep the encoder and computer powered, prevent sleep, and verify that the playlist is still advancing after the stream starts.
- Do not assume a 24-hour broadcast will be available later as one complete replay. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; its cited guidance does not establish that a 24-hour stream is saved as a single complete archive.

DIY encoder: you supply the host and connection
With a local encoder, the computer and streaming software must remain active, and the upload connection must hold for the broadcast. This route gives you control over the playlist and encoder configuration, but a power, computer, software, or network failure can interrupt the stream. YouTube supports software and hardware encoders and recommends choosing the workflow that suits your production; it does not endorse a particular encoder model.

Troubleshoot common interruptions
- You cannot start a live stream: Check that the channel is verified, has no live-streaming restrictions in the past 90 days, and has completed live-stream activation. First activation can take up to 24 hours.
- YouTube receives no feed: Recheck that the encoder has the correct stream URL and key from the intended Live Control Room event. If needed, replace a potentially exposed key and update the encoder.
- The picture or sound breaks up: Check the upload connection and leave the recommended 20% headroom. Test again with other network use paused, and monitor the preview for recurring problems.
- The playlist stops after one pass: Confirm repeat/loop is enabled in the encoder’s media source or playlist. Check the end-of-video transition during a test rather than assuming the source repeats automatically.
- The stream is interrupted or restricted: Check for network interruptions and review the rights and policy status of every item. A copyright match to another live broadcast can affect live-stream access.
- You cannot find a full-day replay: Do not rely on a single 24-hour archive. YouTube’s stated automatic archiving guidance applies to streams under 12 hours.
