You can clear the Samsung Keyboard emoji picker’s current Recent list, but the sources reviewed do not document a setting that permanently stops it from recording emojis you use. Clearing Samsung Keyboard’s app data resets more than emoji history, and the list can build up again with use.
Clear the current Recently Used emoji list
Samsung Community expert guidance recommends clearing Samsung Keyboard’s app data. This resets keyboard data and settings rather than deleting only the emoji list.

Open Settings and tap Apps. On some devices, the menu is called Applications.

If Samsung Keyboard is not listed, open the Apps menu and enable Show system apps.

Tap Samsung Keyboard > Storage > Clear data, then confirm.

Open a text field, open the emoji picker, and check the Recent list.

The steps are based on Samsung Community Europe guidance. The community response says emojis used after clearing will appear in Recent again, so this is a reset, not a permanent block.
Why “Suggest emojis” is not the same setting
Suggest emojis is a Smart typing option that displays emoji suggestions matching what you type. It is not established as a control for the emoji picker’s Recent history. Samsung’s instructions place it under Settings > General management > Samsung Keyboard settings; look under Smart typing for Suggest emojis. You can turn that option off to reduce typing-time suggestions, but that does not clear or disable the Recent list. What to expect on different Galaxy devices
Menu labels and locations can differ by device, software version, and region. Samsung Canada notes that available screens and settings may vary. If the paths above do not match your phone, look in Settings for Samsung Keyboard under Apps, or open General management to find Samsung Keyboard settings. In the official support guidance reviewed, Samsung documents the typing-suggestion control but not a setting that permanently suppresses the Recent emoji list.
