You cannot sign up for The Duskbloods network test now. The application form is closed, the August 2026 test has ended, and no new applications are being accepted as of October 19, 2026. If you applied during the original window, you can still use the campaign account page and the Nintendo Account linked to your application to review your result or any download-code information that remains available.
Current status: registration and the test are over
The Duskbloods network-test campaign is no longer accepting entries. Its official campaign page identifies the entry form as outside its publication period. The test itself also finished, so buying a compatible console or subscribing to Nintendo Switch Online cannot reopen registration or create a late entry.
This distinction matters because older instructions still describe an active Apply button. Those instructions explain the historical process, but they do not represent a live opportunity. Treat any page that promises a new application, a late code, or guaranteed access as inconsistent with the campaign status.
What the network test was for
The test was a limited online trial for The Duskbloods. Nintendo described the game on July 17, 2026 as a multiplayer experience in which players become “Bloodsworn of Dusk”—supernatural beings empowered by blood—and fight in online battles of up to eight players.

A network test is used to exercise online systems with a larger group of players before a wider release. Admission to this campaign was therefore separate from simply owning a Nintendo console. Applicants had to meet the platform and service requirements and then be selected through the campaign process.
Who was eligible to participate
The campaign required all of the following conditions. Missing any one of them could prevent online participation even if an application had been submitted.

These requirements did not guarantee selection. They established whether a selected applicant could use the test. Selection was handled separately and was based on order of sign-up.

Historical sign-up procedure
The following is the process that was used while applications were open. It is included so applicants can understand what they were expected to do and so people who already applied can recognize the account information used for status checks.
- Open the official campaign page. Start at the official The Duskbloods network-test campaign page rather than a third-party registration form.
- Choose your country or region. The campaign asked applicants to select the applicable location before proceeding.
- Select Apply. The Network Test Operations Bureau instructed applicants: “To apply, select the Apply button below, link your Nintendo Account, and submit your information.”
- Link the Nintendo Account intended for play. Use the account that would be used for online features on the Nintendo Switch 2. This linkage was also the key to checking the application later.
- Submit the requested information. Complete the fields shown by the campaign and send the application before the closing time.
- Submit only once. The official instructions warned that repeated applications by the same user would be rejected. A second submission was not a way to improve selection odds or correct a forgotten detail.
Because selection was based on order of sign-up, submitting earlier during the open period mattered. That did not turn the form into a guaranteed-access purchase or guarantee admission for every eligible applicant.

Application and test timetable
The campaign used Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) for its published schedule. The dates below describe the completed 2026 campaign.

The schedule is historical. It does not indicate that a new test period, new selection round, or replacement code window is currently running.

How selected applicants checked their result
Selection results were checked on the campaign account page, not by submitting another application. The essential requirement was to sign in with the Nintendo Account originally linked to the entry.
- Return to the official campaign site.
- Open the account or application-status page.
- Sign in with the same Nintendo Account used during the application.
- Read the displayed selection result and any instructions associated with it.
If the page shows no result, the first issue to investigate is account identity: a different Nintendo Account can represent a different application record or no record at all. Switching accounts does not create eligibility and submitting a new entry is not appropriate because duplicate applications were subject to rejection.
Where selected applicants found the download code
For selected applicants, the download code was displayed on the campaign site. The instructions directed them to use that code to download the network-test version through Nintendo Store or Nintendo eShop.

The account linkage remained important at this stage. The same Nintendo Account used for the original application was required to access the campaign account page where the code appeared. A code displayed for one account should not be assumed to be transferable to another account.

How to verify your own eligibility now
There are two different questions people call “eligibility”: whether they met the participation requirements, and whether they were selected. The account page addressed selection; the requirements determined whether a selected person could participate.
Check the account used for the application
Use the Nintendo Account that was linked when you selected Apply. If you normally use more than one Nintendo Account, check each account only if you genuinely submitted a separate application for it; do not create new entries to search for a result.
Confirm the hardware requirement
The required system was Nintendo Switch 2. Ownership of another Switch model did not replace this requirement. If you did not have access to Nintendo Switch 2, you could not satisfy the stated platform condition for the test.

Confirm the online-membership requirement
Participation also required an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. Nintendo identifies this as a separately sold service and notes that availability varies by country. A Nintendo Account by itself was not a substitute for the membership requirement.
Interpret the result correctly
- Selected: The campaign account page should have provided the applicable download instructions or code information during the announced code period.
- Not selected: Meeting the hardware and membership conditions did not override the selection process.
- No record visible: Verify that you are using the originally linked Nintendo Account and that you are on the official campaign account page.
- Trying to apply now: There is no current application path because the form is outside its publication period.
Common problems and the correct response
“I cannot find an Apply button.”
That is expected after the campaign closed. The historical button was available only during the July 2026 application period. Do not use an unofficial form claiming to replace it.
“I used the wrong Nintendo Account.”
Use the account that was actually linked to the application when checking the campaign page. If the application was submitted with an account you no longer use, signing in with a different account will not move the application record.
“I submitted twice to be safe.”
The official instructions said repeated applications by the same user would be rejected. A duplicate is therefore not a backup entry. Check the account associated with the original submission rather than adding another one.

The membership was only one participation requirement. Applicants also needed Nintendo Switch 2 and had to be selected through the order-of-sign-up process. Membership alone did not issue a code.

“I received no code.”
Codes were provided to selected applicants through the campaign site beginning August 18, 2026. Sign in to the campaign account page with the originally linked Nintendo Account and review the displayed result. If the account was not selected, a code would not be expected.
“Can I buy Nintendo Switch 2 now and join?”
No. Nintendo Switch 2 was a stated requirement for participants, but purchasing the hardware after the campaign closed does not reopen the form or add a late applicant.
“Can I still play the network-test build?”
The announced network test ran from August 21 through August 24, 2026. Those dates have passed, so the historical test is not an active event.
Country, region, and time-zone details
The application flow asked users to choose a country or region, and Nintendo notes that Nintendo Switch Online is not available in every country. These details meant that availability could depend on location; they were not instructions to select a different region to bypass a requirement.
The campaign’s opening and closing times were expressed in PDT. Anyone reviewing old screenshots or messages should compare them with that time zone rather than assuming the cutoff was midnight in their local time. The published closing moment was July 28 at 6:59 a.m. PDT.
What information is still useful after the test
If you applied, preserve the Nintendo Account identity used for the entry and any campaign correspondence that records your result. Those details are the most reliable way to distinguish an actual application from a mistaken sign-in to another account.
If you did not apply during the open period, there is no action that can create eligibility for this completed test. You can still use the historical requirements to understand why a Nintendo Account, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch Online were mentioned together, but none of them changes the closed status.

Bottom line for prospective and past applicants
There is no current way to sign up for The Duskbloods network test. The correct historical process was to choose a region on the official campaign page, link the intended Nintendo Account, submit one application, and then check the result with that same account. Participation required Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch Online, while selection depended on order of sign-up. The August 2026 test and its code window are complete.
