Go to the official site for the country where the child lives, use its Find My Program or Check Availability tool, then follow the local partner’s enrollment instructions. The program is free for eligible children, but registration is handled by local partners within their service areas.
Check whether the program serves your area
Coverage is local, so a national or state-level announcement cannot confirm that a particular child or postcode is eligible. The official locator is interactive and its results depend on the location searched; check it directly for current availability.
-
Choose the official Imagination Library site for the country where the child lives. The site lists the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and Australia.
-
Open the country’s Find My Program or Check Availability page. The U.S. locator offers a map, a local partner list, and postcode search. The Canadian locator lets you search by local champion name or postcode.

Search for the child’s actual area and review the local partner shown. A partner enrolls children who live within the geographic area it serves.
The U.S. and Canadian locator pages also invite families to submit a postcode and contact information if no program is currently listed, so they can be notified if coverage becomes available.
Register through the local partner
If the locator lists a local partner, open its information and follow its current registration directions. Local partners are responsible for enrolling eligible children in their service areas; the central program does not establish one universal form or process for every location.
The program is described as a free book-gifting program for eligible children from birth through age five. Parents, legal guardians, and other authorized adults may register eligible children. The U.S. program page says registered children receive one age-appropriate book each month at no cost to their families. Local partners secure funding for books and shipping.
What if the program isn’t currently available in my area?
Use the notification option on the U.S. or Canadian locator page to leave your postcode and contact information. That allows the program to notify you if local coverage becomes available; it is not a current enrollment route.
If you want to help bring the program to your community, use the separate Start a Program route. In the United States, the page describes contacting a regional director and arranging partnership documents, local funding, and operations. Starting a program is distinct from registering an individual child.

Why availability and instructions can vary
Imagination Library relies on local partners that serve defined geographic areas. A partner’s coverage determines where it can enroll children, while country-specific locator pages provide different search controls. Follow the directions shown by the partner serving the child’s location rather than assuming another area uses the same steps.
The official terms page describing eligibility was last revised April 26, 2019, so use the current locator and local partner information for area-specific instructions. The locator pages document how to search and what to do if no program appears, but they do not establish availability for an unsearched postcode.
