Blogger’s built-in Link List stores a link name and destination, not a screenshot thumbnail. To show previews, make a custom image-and-link list instead: use an HTML/JavaScript gadget for a list in your layout, the post or page HTML editor for a one-off list, or theme HTML and CSS for a reusable, custom-designed component.
Choose where the screenshot previews should appear

Blogger’s documented Link List fields include the link name and target, but do not document a thumbnail-image field. The workaround is to supply your own image-and-link markup. See Blogger’s Layouts Data Tags.
Add previews with an HTML/JavaScript gadget
- Open Blogger and choose the blog you want to edit.
- Go to Layout, then select Add a Gadget in the area where the list should appear. Blogger documents HTML/JavaScript gadgets and their content field in its layout data tags help.
- Add a title if desired, then put your image-and-link markup in the gadget’s content field. Replace the sample URLs with your screenshot image and destination. Use a direct HTTPS image URL that is publicly accessible.
- Save the gadget and preview the blog. Check the layout on both desktop and mobile.

</ul>The link wraps both the image and its label, so either can be clicked. The alt text describes the preview for readers who cannot see it; change it to match the image and destination. The sample uses an illustrative URL, not an existing screenshot service.
Put a preview list in one post or page
- Open the post or page in Blogger’s editor.
- Switch to the editor’s HTML mode.
- Insert the same kind of image-and-link markup where the list should appear, then replace the sample URLs and text.
- Preview the content before publishing to check that the image loads and the link goes to the intended destination.
Blogger’s help for managing blog settings covers the post and page editor context. HTML mode is useful when the list belongs only to that content rather than to a layout-wide gadget.

Style the previews
For a simple layout, the markup can remain unstyled. To control image width, spacing, borders, or whether the label appears beside the image, add CSS through your theme’s CSS controls or theme HTML. Blogger documents design changes and theme HTML editing in Change the design of your blog.

}This example makes each preview image fill the available width while preserving its aspect ratio. If you prefer a compact list, set a maximum image width or use a layout that places the label alongside it. Theme selectors and existing styles can affect the final appearance, so check the published preview rather than assuming the CSS will look identical on every theme.

Use theme HTML for a theme-level component
For a component that needs to be integrated into a theme’s structure, go to Theme → Edit HTML and make a careful change to the relevant markup; add or adjust CSS as needed. Blogger documents theme HTML editing and layout structures in its design help and page elements tags help.
Theme markup varies, so there is no universally safe insertion point. Before changing it, keep a copy of the current theme and make a small edit you can reverse. If the result breaks the layout, undo the change or restore the saved theme. For a basic list, the gadget or post/page method avoids editing theme structure.

Keep image URLs secure and test the result
- Use HTTPS for the page, image, and any other resources. Blogger says HTTP resources in image, script, and related attributes can cause mixed-content problems; its guidance also identifies markup, scripts, and gadgets as possible sources. See Fix mixed content on your blog.
- Make sure the image URL points directly to an image the blog can access, rather than to a page that displays the image.
- After saving, verify the image loads, the link opens the right destination, and the text remains understandable if the image does not load.
- If a gadget or custom markup causes unexpected behavior, remove or isolate it and test again. Google warns that authors who add code or third-party widgets do so at their own risk in Change the design of your blog.
