The recipient receives a copy in their own Google Account for autofill; this is not a jointly edited vault. Here’s how to share a password on a computer, Android, or iPhone or iPad—and what to consider before you do.
Who can receive a shared Chrome password?
Google’s documented sharing flow is limited to members of your Google family group. It does not provide a general shareable link or a way to send a saved password to any arbitrary recipient. The recipient gets a copy stored in their own Google Account, where it can be used for autofill.
Because the recipient receives a copy, this is not a live, jointly edited password vault. Google’s instructions do not describe a separate control that revokes or deletes the recipient’s copy when you remove your saved entry.
How to share a password in Chrome
Use Google Password Manager in Chrome, select the saved credential, and choose Share. Google recommends updating Chrome before using the feature. The steps vary by device:

What happens to the password after sharing?
The recipient’s Google Account stores the received copy for autofill. Google documents the same basic copy-sharing outcome for computer, Android, and iPhone or iPad. The instructions do not establish that changes to the sender’s saved entry automatically update the recipient’s copy, or that deleting the sender’s entry removes it.
Security and access limits to consider
Reuse can expose more than one account
If you reuse the password on other sites or services, the recipient may be able to access those accounts too. Google Password Manager help advises: “Use unique passwords for all your online accounts.” Share only a credential that is unique to the service you intend to grant access to.

Change the password to end the recipient’s access
If you no longer want someone to have access to the service, Google recommends changing that service’s password. The reviewed instructions do not explain a separate revocation control or promise that removing the saved entry from your account erases the copy already received.
Account storage and sharing are separate choices
Google says saved passwords may be stored in a Google Account for use across signed-in devices or stored locally on a computer. That storage choice is separate from the sharing procedure, which Google documents through Google Password Manager.
