On iPhone, open Wallet, tap the pass, then tap Share and choose an available option. This works only when the pass issuer has enabled sharing; if Share is missing, check the issuer’s app or website for another way to send it.
Share a pass from Wallet on iPhone
- Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
- Tap the pass you want to send.
- Tap Share, then choose one of the options shown.
Apple documents this for eligible tickets and passes. The options shown depend on the pass and the sharing methods available on your iPhone. See Apple Support’s Add, use, and share tickets and passes in Apple Wallet.
Share with a nearby iPhone
If the recipient is with you, you can use Apple’s nearby sharing flow:
- Open the pass in Wallet.
- Hold the top of your iPhone close to the top of the other person’s iPhone.
- When the pass appears on the other iPhone, tap Share.

What to do if there is no Share button
Apple says that when the Share button is absent, “the merchant or company that issued the pass or ticket hasn’t enabled sharing in the Wallet app.” Check the issuer’s app or website, or contact the issuer to ask about its supported sharing method. A screenshot or copied barcode is not a reliable substitute for an issuer-supported transfer.
Does a custom pass have to be shareable?
No. “Custom” may describe a pass that was created manually or had its details edited; it does not mean sharing is enabled. Apple’s iPhone guide documents creating a pass by opening Wallet, tapping Add Card, choosing Create a Pass and Create Pass Manually, selecting a template, editing fields, and tapping Done. That creation process does not establish that the resulting pass can be shared. Check the actual pass for a Share button. See Apple’s guide to creating passes in Wallet on iPhone.

Share a pass from Apple Watch
For certain passes, Apple Watch also offers sharing. Open Wallet on the Watch, tap the pass, scroll down, tap Share Pass, and choose an option such as Messages or Mail. Apple notes that this is not available for every pass; see the Apple Watch Wallet guide.
