You can set up phone-based food ordering with Uber Eats through Siri or Google Assistant; some restaurants, such as Panera, also have their own Assistant integration. Alexa+ offers a more conversational ordering flow through linked delivery accounts, but Amazon’s initial rollout was tied to newer Echo Show devices, so do not assume it works entirely on every phone. In every case, review the cart and order details before confirming.
Choose the assistant and ordering service
Voice ordering is tied to a particular app or restaurant integration. The documented phone options below cover reordering with Uber Eats, a Panera-specific Google Assistant flow, and Alexa+ ordering through linked delivery accounts. Commands and availability can vary by platform, language, app version, and rollout status.

Set up Uber Eats with Siri on iPhone
- Update Uber Eats and make sure Siri is available on your iPhone.
- In Uber Eats, open Account > Voice Command Settings > Add to Siri.
- Choose the custom phrase you want to use to start the action.
- Say “Hey Siri” followed by that phrase. When prompted, name the restaurant.
- Uber Eats prepares your last order from that restaurant, including prior customizations and delivery or pickup preferences. Review it in the app, make any changes, and confirm before submitting.
- To track an active order, invoke Siri using the tracking phrase configured during setup.
Uber documents this Siri path as a way to repeat a prior order, not as a guarantee that Siri can create any arbitrary meal from scratch. See Uber Eats voice-command instructions.
Use Google Assistant with Uber Eats
On a phone with Google Assistant and the latest Uber Eats app, try a documented command such as “Hey Google, reorder [restaurant] on Uber Eats” or “Open Uber Eats and reorder [restaurant].” For order status, Uber lists phrases including “Check my order on Uber Eats,” “Ask Uber Eats to check my order,” and “Show my order status on Uber Eats.”

These commands are for reordering and checking an order; do not assume they enable unrestricted voice-only menu browsing or ordering. Uber’s help page lists English and Portuguese worldwide for its Google Assistant commands and notes that capabilities vary by language and platform. Uber Eats voice-command instructions.
Order from Panera through Google Assistant
- Open the Google Assistant app and say, “Ok Google, talk to Panera.”
- Link your MyPanera account if Assistant asks you to.
- Tell Panera what you want and specify delivery or Rapid Pick-Up when relevant.
- Continue through the conversation until the order is placed. The integration also supports checking rewards or finding a cafe.
This flow depends on Panera’s own integration. A restaurant appearing in a delivery app does not by itself mean it supports a comparable assistant conversation. Panera’s Google Assistant instructions.

What Alexa+ can do—and its device caveat
Amazon’s March 31, 2026 announcement describes linking Grubhub or Uber Eats in the Alexa app at More > Alexa+ Store > Food & Reservations. Amazon says Alexa+ can sync past orders and help users discover restaurants, add or modify items, review quantities and prices, check out, and request order updates. An example prompt is “What can I get delivered for dinner tonight?”
Amazon described the experience as beginning to roll out to Alexa+ customers with newer Echo Show 8 devices and larger. Its help page says availability is phased during Early Access and that features and services may not all be available at once. The sources do not establish that every phone can complete the transaction without a supported Echo Show, or settle availability by country, account tier, or phone model. Check the order before you confirm
Before speaking or tapping the final confirmation, inspect the complete order in the service’s app or on the Alexa screen:
- Restaurant and each item, including quantity.
- Modifications, substitutions, and any custom instructions the restaurant supports.
- Delivery address or pickup choice.
- Payment method and the complete total.
Amazon says customizations depend on the restaurant. For Alexa+ orders, cancellation after placement and questions about a completed order must be handled through the third-party delivery service. Alexa+ customer help.

Troubleshoot unavailable commands or checkout
Uber Eats commands do not work
- Confirm Uber Eats is current and that you are invoking the assistant documented for your phone.
- For Siri, check that you added the action and custom phrase under Account > Voice Command Settings.
- Check language support and use the command form associated with the selected assistant.
Alexa+ will not complete a purchase
Amazon recommends checking Voice Purchasing in the Alexa app: ensure it is enabled, confirm the Amazon account has a current payment method, and verify the four-digit voice code or Alexa Voice ID setting if you use those protections. Amazon Voice Purchasing help.
