To invite friends in Ghost Recon Breakpoint, open the in-game menu, go to Lobby, choose a friend under Friends & More, then select Invite. The campaign supports up to four players total: you as host and up to three friends. Ubisoft calls the resulting friend group a custom lobby; its instructions do not describe a separate privacy toggle.
Invite friends to your co-op session
- Open the in-game menu and select Lobby.
- Under Friends & More, select the friend you want to join.
- Select Invite. Ubisoft does not specify button prompts for each platform, so follow the on-screen prompt for your system.
After inviting friends, the host can create custom lobbies with them. Invitations cannot be sent while you are in a Player versus player (PvP) mode. These steps are from Ubisoft Help’s Friend Pass instructions.
How many friends can join?
Campaign co-op supports up to four players total, including the host, so you can have up to three friends with you. Ubisoft’s 2019 launch announcement confirms the campaign player count; Ubisoft Help describes inviting up to three friends at a time.
Friend Pass requirements and platform limits
If a friend joins through Friend Pass rather than owning the game, Ubisoft Help lists these requirements:

- The guest needs an internet connection and the installed Free Trial.
- The guest must play on the same platform as the host. This is a Friend Pass requirement; the available official information does not establish cross-play support for players who all own the game.
- On PlayStation or Xbox, the guest needs the applicable PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass console subscription for online features.
Ubisoft Help describes a six-hour Free Trial limit and says invited guests can continue playing while the host remains connected, even after the guests’ trial time has ended. That describes the Help article’s Friend Pass flow, not a guarantee that the trial or Friend Pass is currently obtainable on every platform. Ubisoft’s March 2020 announcement said the original Friend Pass promotion ran until June 16, 2020; that was a historical promotion deadline.
If the invite or online session does not work
First, leave any PvP mode before trying to invite. If the problem is online connectivity, Ubisoft’s March 2020 Ghost Experience update described a mode that let players continue solo PvE when matchmaking connectivity was inconsistent, while multiplayer modes remained unavailable without a sustained connection to matchmaking services. It also described initiating matchmaking to retest the connection. This is dated guidance, not a live outage diagnosis or a guarantee that the same options or behavior apply now.
