YouTube treats the live broadcast as the event and the stream as the incoming feed. Neither cloud infrastructure nor a YouTube stream key grants permission to broadcast the music: clear the specific recordings and compositions for your intended territories and uses before going live.
How to stream music 24/7 on YouTube from Google Cloud
At a high level, the path is: prepare a continuous audio program and visual layer, send that feed from a Google Cloud service to a YouTube Live stream, then monitor both ends and plan for recovery. Google’s documentation supports two cloud approaches, but does not establish a turnkey VM image, encoder command, recommended machine size, or complete reliability recipe. Treat the steps below as an architecture and setup sequence, not a tested copy-and-paste configuration.
Choose a cloud sending approach

Compare the options on how much encoder control you need, whether you need managed transcoding, how you will handle restarts and recovery, availability in your intended region, and the current total cost. The sources do not support a universal machine size or numerical cost comparison.
Configure the YouTube broadcast and incoming stream
YouTube models a broadcast as the live event/video and a stream as the incoming audio-video feed. A broadcast binds to one stream. For an API-managed workflow, the Google Account that owns the broadcasting channel authorizes YouTube Data API requests. YouTube’s guide describes a channel with a 24/7 live feed and documents that the same stream can be bound to up to three broadcasts; this does not remove the need to configure and test your own channel and broadcast. Prepare the music program and visual layer
Provide a continuous audio program and a visual layer through the encoder or managed service you selected. Decide how the program should behave at playlist boundaries, during gaps, and when a source file ends. The cited Google documentation does not validate particular encoding software, settings, or commands for a Hindi music stream, so confirm those against the encoder and YouTube configuration you actually use rather than assuming a recipe.
Preview, start, and monitor the feed
- Set up live streaming on the YouTube channel, then create or configure the broadcast and incoming stream. If you use the API, authorize requests as the Google Account that owns the channel.
- Configure your chosen cloud sender with the incoming stream details from YouTube and supply the prepared audio program and visual layer.
- Use YouTube’s preview and testing workflow before making the broadcast public. The API documentation describes testing with a monitor stream.
- When the preview is correct, start transmission and watch both the encoder or cloud resource and the YouTube stream state. Plan how you will detect a stopped feed and reconnect or restart it.
- If you use the managed Live Stream API, include its possible 24-hour active-session restart in your operating plan. Google says an active channel may be restarted after 24 hours; the guidance is not a rule for every Compute Engine encoder.
Can I play Hindi songs on a YouTube live stream?
Only if you have the rights needed for that specific use. Hindi-language music is not automatically cleared or prohibited as a category: permission depends on the particular composition, sound recording, rights holders, territories, and whether your permission covers a live broadcast and any archive or replay. Buying a song or being able to play it personally does not itself grant livestream rights.

YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions say operators represent that they hold the necessary rights for worldwide exploitation of live content on Google services, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. Confirm the applicable rights for the territories where viewers may receive the stream and for any recording YouTube makes available afterward.
YouTube also says, “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” A match can cause a placeholder to replace the stream; persistent third-party content may lead to interruption or termination. Its copyright guidance for live streams also warns that even licensed content may be interrupted if the channel is not on the rights owner’s Content ID allowlist. If you have a license, ask the relevant owner whether allowlisting is needed.

Reliability, limits, and costs to plan
Understand the managed-service session limit
Google Cloud’s Live Stream API quotas and limits page, updated September 30, 2026, says a channel in an active streaming state may be restarted after 24 hours. Build a planned restart and reconnection process around that constraint if you use the managed API. It does not establish that a VM-based encoder must restart every 24 hours.
Estimate the full deployment before choosing
A credible Google Cloud bill depends on the region, machine or managed-service configuration, storage, traffic, and encoding workload. The cited material does not establish a VM size or numerical price for this setup. Check current Google Cloud pricing against your specific design before committing, and account for the operating work of monitoring the cloud sender and YouTube feed.

Common setup problems and what to check
- YouTube does not receive the feed: Check that the cloud sender is configured with the incoming stream details for the intended YouTube stream, is running, and can reach its configured destination. Confirm the selected broadcast is associated with that stream.
- The preview is missing or wrong: Check that the intended broadcast and stream are paired and that the encoder is sending the expected audio and visual program. Use YouTube’s monitor/preview workflow before public transmission.
- The stream is interrupted after a content match: Review YouTube’s copyright notice and identify the matched material. Obtain the necessary rights for the specific live and archive uses; where licensed third-party content is involved, ask the rights owner about Content ID allowlisting.
- A managed feed stops around the 24-hour mark: If using Google Cloud Live Stream API, account for the documented possible restart after 24 hours in an active state and implement the restart/reconnect procedure for your design.
- The feed is live but the music is not cleared: A successful connection confirms transport, not licensing. Resolve the rights for each recording and composition before resuming public transmission.
