Gyre runs the stream from its servers after setup, so your computer does not have to stay on. The steps below cover eligibility, setup, plan checks, and common issues.
1. Check that your YouTube channel can live stream
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. The person initiating a live stream must be at least 16 years old. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility requirements before configuring Gyre. If live streaming is not enabled for your channel, resolve that with YouTube first.
2. Choose a Gyre plan for the stream you need
Match the plan to how many broadcasts you intend to run at once and the video quality, storage, file-count, playlist, and scheduling features you need. The figures below were displayed on Gyre’s product page on October 3, 2026; they are vendor-published limits and prices, not independently verified. Check Gyre’s current pricing page for current terms, billing intervals, feature access, and availability.

Gyre’s page also presents playlist and scheduling capabilities, but confirm that the specific plan you select includes the controls you intend to use. Resolution and stream-count limits are plan-specific; do not assume that a plan offering multiple HD streams also permits the same number of 4K streams.

3. Prepare the prerecorded videos
Gyre’s documented workflow uses prerecorded video files uploaded to Gyre Storage. A video that already exists on YouTube is not automatically available as a Gyre source: you need the source file and must upload it. Follow Gyre’s current video preparation guidance and check YouTube’s requirements for the output quality you want.
- Confirm you have the rights and permissions to broadcast every video, audio track, and other included material.
- Choose files that fit your plan’s storage and file-count limits.
- Review the intended output quality and confirm it is supported by the selected plan.
- Keep the source files available in Gyre Storage; the stream is built from uploaded files, not a live camera feed.
A continuous loop does not itself establish that a channel or stream is eligible for monetization, recommendations, or audience growth. YouTube’s copyright and monetization policies still apply.

4. Upload the files and build the playlist
- Sign in to Gyre and open Gyre Storage.
- Upload the prerecorded video files you plan to broadcast. Wait for uploads and processing to finish before building the stream.
- Create a playlist and arrange the files in the order you want them to play.
- Check the playlist for missing, out-of-order, or unintended files, and confirm that the selected plan supports the playlist and looping behavior you need.
Gyre describes a workflow of uploading videos, creating a playlist, connecting a channel, and then starting or scheduling the stream. The exact dashboard labels can change, so use the current Gyre interface if a control has moved.
5. Connect YouTube and launch or schedule the broadcast
- In Gyre’s dashboard, choose the option to connect or authorize a YouTube channel and complete the account authorization flow for the channel you intend to use.
- Configure the broadcast using the uploaded playlist and the available stream settings. Confirm the destination channel and the planned start time before launch.
- Start the stream now or schedule it if your plan includes scheduling.
- Open YouTube Studio’s live control room and verify that the broadcast appears live and is playing the intended content.
Gyre says its servers send the stream after setup, so the computer used for configuration can be turned off. Cloud operation does not guarantee that a broadcast will never be interrupted; check the stream’s status and be prepared to investigate if it stops.

6. Verify monetization settings in YouTube Studio
Gyre reports that broadcasts created through its third-party integration use the channel’s default monetization setting for externally created broadcasts. If that setting is disabled, monetization may start off for a new broadcast. Check your channel’s actual setting and the broadcast’s status in YouTube Studio before relying on ads. Eligibility and YouTube’s current policies also apply; a running loop does not guarantee monetization. Gyre also reports API controls for mid-roll behavior on eligible broadcasts, but confirm the options available to your channel in YouTube Studio.
Common problems and what to check
- You cannot start a stream: Check channel verification, age requirements, and any live-stream restriction from the previous 90 days in YouTube’s eligibility guidance.
- A source video is unavailable: Confirm the original file has been uploaded to Gyre Storage; a YouTube-hosted copy is not automatically a Gyre source.
- The stream or playlist exceeds plan capacity: Recheck simultaneous stream, resolution, storage, and file-count limits for the plan you selected.
- The broadcast is not visible as live: Confirm the correct channel was authorized, that the stream was started or scheduled, and that YouTube Studio shows the expected broadcast.
- Monetization is off: Check the channel default for broadcasts created through third-party tools and verify eligibility and broadcast settings in YouTube Studio.
- The stream stops after setup: Gyre’s cloud hosting removes the need to keep your own computer on, but it is not a no-interruption guarantee. Check Gyre and YouTube status and relaunch or reconfigure the broadcast as needed.
