To run Indian music on YouTube around the clock, first secure livestream rights for every recording and composition, then configure the broadcast in YouTube Studio and use a cloud encoder to send the continuous audio/video feed. YouTube Live Control Room configures and monitors the event; it does not play your music files. A continuous channel is a publishing goal, not a promise that one YouTube event will run or archive forever.
Before setup: confirm music rights
Do not upload or stream a track until you have confirmed permission for the intended livestream use. For each song, check rights to both the sound recording and the underlying composition. A purchase, physical copy, online availability, or general music subscription does not by itself establish YouTube livestream rights.
Confirm the permitted platform and use, territories, duration, monetization terms, and how the rights holder handles Content ID. Keep the written license and contact details for the owner or distributor. Rights for a particular Indian song or catalogue must be confirmed with its relevant rights holders; no general rule establishes that a given track is cleared.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. Its copyright guidance says: “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” A match may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it if the content remains. YouTube advises creators who licensed third-party material to ask the owner to add their channel to its Content ID allowlist. A license grants the rights; allowlisting helps prevent automated matching from interrupting the live broadcast.

What you need
- A YouTube channel eligible for live streaming and access to YouTube Studio.
- Music files and any accompanying visuals you are authorized to use for this livestream.
- A cloud encoder or streaming service that can send a prerecorded playlist continuously to YouTube. Check specifically for playlist looping, playlist updates, restart or reconnection behavior, monitoring, and its archive workflow; a service directory listing does not establish that a service supports every 24/7 workflow.
- The YouTube stream URL and stream key, which connect the encoder to the event.
- A separate recording or archive plan if you need a copy of the broadcast.
Set up the stream
1. Enable live streaming ahead of launch
In YouTube Studio, use Create → Go Live to begin setup. First-time live-stream enablement may take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before the planned launch. YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance also recommends verifying the account at least 24 hours ahead for music creators.
2. Create or schedule an event
In Live Control Room, open the Stream tab to create or schedule the broadcast. Copy the stream URL and stream key shown for the event. Treat the key like a password: share it only with the encoder, keep it private, and reset it if you think it has been exposed. YouTube describes stream keys as functioning like a password and address.
3. Configure the cloud encoder
Upload or select only media you have cleared for this use. In the encoder, create a playlist or schedule, enable continuous looping, select any permitted artwork or visual, and set YouTube as the destination. Enter the event’s stream URL and key in the service’s YouTube or custom RTMP/RTMPS destination fields. Exact field names and controls depend on the provider.

Before relying on a provider for a long-running channel, verify its behavior for prerecorded looping, updating a playlist, reconnecting after a dropped connection, health alerts or remote control, and session-duration limits. YouTube’s verified-encoder directory includes AWS Elemental MediaLive, described there as a broadcast-grade live video processing service; the listing is not an endorsement or proof that its setup is the best fit for a simple music-loop workload. Provider prices, service guarantees, restart behavior, playlist features, and India-region availability vary and are not established by YouTube’s directory.

4. Apply YouTube-compatible output settings
Use YouTube’s encoder settings guidance as the starting point, then verify the encoder can sustain the selected output. For RTMP/RTMPS, YouTube lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, or AV1 video, up to 60 fps, constant bitrate (CBR), and AAC or MP3 audio. Use RTMPS where supported. Set a two-second keyframe interval; YouTube says it must not exceed four seconds.
Do not choose one bitrate on the assumption that it suits every stream: YouTube’s recommendations vary by codec, resolution, and frame rate. Match the bitrate to your selected output and the encoder’s sustained cloud egress, then check stream health during a test. For stereo audio, YouTube recommends 128 Kbps and a 44.1 kHz sampling rate. These are platform recommendations, not a guarantee that different source files or encoders will sound identical.

For a music stream with static artwork or a slowly changing visual, prioritize stable audio and an output profile the selected service can sustain. Confirm the video and audio are both reaching the intended event before launch.
5. Start the encoder and check the preview
- Start the playlist or broadcast in the cloud encoder.
- Open the matching event in Live Control Room and wait for its preview and stream-health status.
- For a scheduled event, click Go live in Live Control Room after confirming the correct feed is arriving.
- Listen to the preview and check the picture, stream health, event title, and destination. Verify that the event receiving the feed is the one you intend to publish.
Plan continuity and archives
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but warns that streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. If a complete archive matters, plan a controlled handoff or restart before the 12-hour boundary and keep a separate recording backup. Do not assume the restart method or watch-page continuity: both depend on the chosen service and YouTube configuration, so test the handoff before launch.
A local archive drive can provide a separate backup, but it is not needed to keep a cloud encoder running. The service’s storage, egress, and recording costs are separate considerations; check current provider terms rather than assuming a directory listing includes them.

Choose a cloud approach that fits the channel

Troubleshooting
- Live streaming is not available yet: First-time enablement may still be processing. Enable live streaming ahead of launch; YouTube says it may take up to 24 hours.
- The encoder is not connecting: Check that the stream URL and key belong to the correct event, that the key has not been changed, and that the service is sending to YouTube. If the key may have been exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
- No preview appears: Confirm the encoder has actually started, the event is the one receiving the feed, and the selected destination and credentials match. Use Live Control Room’s preview and stream-health information to identify whether the feed is arriving.
- The stream stops after a copyright match: Stop using the disputed material until its rights are resolved. If you have a license, contact the rights holder about adding your channel to its Content ID allowlist; permission and allowlisting address different issues.
- The stream is interrupted or terminated: Check for a third-party match or a copyright or Community Guidelines strike, then review the relevant YouTube notice. A cloud service’s reconnection behavior is provider-specific; confirm it in advance rather than assuming automatic recovery.
- The archive is missing or incomplete: YouTube warns that a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured. Use sessions below that threshold when an archive matters, and maintain a separate recording backup.
- Audio or video quality is unstable: Check the selected codec, CBR setting, keyframe interval, bitrate, and audio parameters against YouTube’s encoder guidance. The cloud encoder also needs sustained egress for the chosen output; inspect stream health and test the intended profile before launch.
