To run a 24/7 Durga bhajan stream on YouTube, pair a still image with continuous, rights-cleared bhajan audio in a streaming encoder, then send that feed to a YouTube live stream. The image supplies only the video; the encoder, computer or cloud service must keep sending audio and video, and you need a plan for interruptions and recordings.
Before setup: confirm you have rights to every asset
Start with the recordings, not the playlist. YouTube’s official livestream terms require creators to have the rights needed to use live content on Google services worldwide, including applicable music rights from artists, record labels, publishers and other rights holders. This is YouTube’s platform contract language, not a complete statement of local law. Read the YouTube Livestream terms and confirm that your permission covers livestreaming the specific recording and the underlying composition.
A devotional subject, traditional melody or publicly available upload does not by itself establish that a particular recording is cleared for rebroadcast. Check the rights for the still image, logo, lyrics and any other visuals too. Keep a record of the rights holder, permission or licence, territories, allowed use and any required attribution. YouTube advises creators using licensed third-party material to ask the rights owner to add their channel to its Content ID allowlist; a licence alone may not stop a live interruption. See YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams.
What you need for a continuous stream
- A YouTube channel eligible for live streaming. YouTube’s general eligibility help says the channel must be verified, must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, and the creator must be at least 16. Confirm access in your account before scheduling: YouTube live-streaming eligibility.
- Bhajan audio and a still image that you are permitted to use.
- An encoder that combines the image and audio and sends a continuous feed to YouTube. This can be streaming software running on a computer or a cloud playout service.
- A stable source of power and internet for a local encoder, or a service-side continuity plan if using cloud playout.
- A monitoring and recording plan. A continuous live feed is not the same thing as a guaranteed full-length replay.
YouTube distinguishes the viewer-facing broadcast from the incoming audio-video stream. In practical terms, you create the event in Studio and connect an encoder that sends the feed. There is no special YouTube “static image” mode for this use case; use the current settings recommended by your encoder and YouTube rather than assuming one universal resolution, bitrate, keyframe interval or loop length. See YouTube’s live-streaming API overview.

How to set up the 24/7 Durga bhajan stream
1. Clear and prepare the playlist
Gather only audio and visual assets you have permission to use. Arrange the bhajans into a playlist or continuous audio source in your chosen encoder, and set the image as its video source. Check that the audio repeats cleanly, the still image remains visible, and neither source ends unexpectedly. Save a copy of the playlist and your rights records.
2. Create the live stream in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and select Create → Go Live → Stream.
- Create or schedule the stream, then copy the stream URL and stream key shown in the Live Control Room.
- In your encoder’s stream settings, enter YouTube’s stream URL and key. Keep the key private: it functions like a password. Reset it if it is exposed.
- Start the encoder and wait for the incoming feed to appear in the Live Control Room preview. Check that both the still image and bhajan audio are present before making the stream public.
YouTube’s encoder guidance covers connecting an encoder and checking the live setup: Set up your encoder for live streaming.
3. Test before the scheduled start
YouTube recommends setting up the encoder at least two hours before an event and starting at least 15 minutes before its scheduled start. Use that time to inspect the preview, verify the watch page on viewer devices, monitor audio and video, and check that any local archive file is growing. These are YouTube’s operational recommendations, not a guarantee that a continuous stream will never fail. See YouTube’s live-streaming tips.
4. Keep the feed running and monitor it
With a local encoder, the computer and streaming software must remain on, with reliable power and upload connectivity. Check the stream after launch and periodically during operation; have a way to notice a frozen image, missing audio, network drop or encoder shutdown. A mini PC can be an optional always-on computer, but it is not a YouTube requirement. Check the current requirements of your chosen encoder before buying hardware.
A cloud encoder is another way to avoid depending on a home computer, but assess the particular service’s continuous playback, recovery, monitoring, recording and cost rather than assuming those capabilities.
Can I stream bhajans 24/7 on YouTube?
Technically, yes: an encoder can send a continuous feed using a still image and audio. Whether a particular stream can remain live depends on keeping the feed running and complying with YouTube’s rules. You must have the necessary rights for the music and visuals, and YouTube may interrupt a live stream when its systems identify third-party content. A devotional purpose does not exempt a stream from copyright rules.
YouTube says licensed third-party material can still trigger an interruption if the channel is not on the rights owner’s Content ID allowlist. If YouTube flags your stream, investigate the notice in Studio and resolve the rights issue; repeatedly restarting the same uncleared content is not a fix. YouTube’s separate live Content ID matching feature is for certain Content Manager partners, with demanding requirements including worldwide rights and exclusive ownership; it is not a creator-side safety checker. See YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance and YouTube’s live Content ID matching information.
Will YouTube save the full 24-hour stream?
Do not count on YouTube saving a full 24-hour broadcast. YouTube says automatic archiving is available for streams under 12 hours; a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. The rule is described on YouTube Help’s Archive live streams page, checked October 3, 2026.

Local encoder or cloud playout?
Choose based on what you can reliably maintain, not just what is easiest to start. Compare the options against the same operational needs:
| Consideration | Local encoder | Cloud playout |
|---|---|---|
| Power and internet | Your computer, power and upload connection must stay available. | The provider operates the playout in the cloud; assess the service’s terms and continuity provisions. |
| Recovery after an interruption | Depends on your encoder setup and how quickly someone can intervene. | Check whether the specific provider offers recovery and what happens after a YouTube disconnect. |
| Monitoring | You need a way to check the computer, encoder and live feed. | Check what monitoring and alerts the provider includes. |
| Recording | You can arrange a local recording, subject to your storage and encoder setup. | Verify whether the service supports an archive you can use; do not assume it does. |
| Control and cost | You control the local files and hardware, and are responsible for operating them. | Compare service pricing and media controls with your needs before choosing. |
If you choose between one continuous 24-hour broadcast and shorter scheduled streams, balance continuity for viewers against YouTube’s archiving and DVR limits. Verify current platform behavior in Studio before relying on a specific replay or rewind outcome.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a still image count as a live stream?
Yes, if an encoder sends it as the video portion of a continuous live feed alongside audio. The image alone does not keep a stream live.
Can I use a bhajan recording I found online?
Only if you have permission or another valid basis to livestream that recording and its underlying composition. Being online or devotional does not establish that it is cleared.
