You can use IRL Pro on an Android phone to send a devotional broadcast to YouTube: enable livestreaming, create or select a YouTube stream, enter its connection details in IRL Pro, and verify the feed in YouTube Live Control Room. That gets a stream started; it does not guarantee an unattended 24/7 broadcast. Plan for power, connectivity, dropped-signal recovery, music rights, and YouTube’s archive limit before leaving it running.
What you need before setup
- An Android phone with IRL Pro installed. The available documentation does not establish a particular phone model or its suitability for unattended continuous use.
- A YouTube channel with livestreaming enabled. First-time enablement may take up to 24 hours.
- A stream URL and stream key from YouTube Live Control Room, plus a service dashboard that provides an RTMP or SRT connection URL for IRL Pro.
- A stable power source and network connection, and a plan for monitoring and restarting the stream if the connection drops.
- Permission to use every music recording and other third-party material in both the live broadcast and any replay.
1. Enable livestreaming and create a YouTube stream
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live. If livestreaming has not been enabled for the channel, complete that process and allow up to 24 hours for first-time enablement.
- Open the Stream tab in Live Control Room. Create a stream or select one you already use.
- Copy the YouTube server URL and stream key. Treat the key as a password: anyone who has it can send content to the associated stream.

2. Configure IRL Pro to send the broadcast
- In the streaming-service dashboard that supplies IRL Pro’s connection details, choose RTMP or SRT and copy the complete connection URL.
- In IRL Pro’s broadcast settings, select the same protocol and paste the URL into the URL or server field. The app and dashboard must use the same protocol.
- For SRT, the key is included in the URL’s
streamid. For RTMP, the URL already ends with the key, so the documented workflow does not require a separate key field. - Choose resolution, frame rate, and bitrate within the limits of your streaming-service plan. Those plan caps and suggested starting settings are service-specific, not universal YouTube requirements; check the current limits in your dashboard.
- Start broadcasting. Confirm that the service dashboard changes from “No signal” to “Streaming,” and check that it reports a live bitrate.
The IRL Pro guide documents a single connection; the app does not bond multiple connections. Its Enhanced IRL guide recommends SRT over RTMP for one mobile connection in weak or changing coverage. That is a protocol recommendation, not a guarantee that a particular network or phone will remain connected.

3. Confirm the feed in YouTube
- Use the YouTube server URL and stream key in the encoder connection settings for the stream you created or selected.
- Start the encoder and check the preview in Live Control Room. YouTube creates the watch page after the encoder begins sending content.
- If the stream is scheduled, wait for the preview and select Go live when prompted.
- Before making the devotional broadcast public, run an unlisted test if practical. Confirm picture, audio levels, and that the correct stream appears on the intended watch page.
What “24/7” requires beyond starting the app
The documented IRL Pro workflow explains how to connect and begin sending a feed; it does not promise continuous unattended operation or guaranteed recovery. A phone-based setup depends on a single connection, so treat continuity as an operating responsibility rather than an app setting.
- Keep the phone on reliable power and prevent interruptions from battery depletion or accidental disconnection.
- Use a stable network and monitor the connection, stream status, and audio/video rather than assuming the broadcast is still healthy.
- Decide who or what will respond if the feed stops. Test a restart procedure before relying on the stream for an all-day service.
- Do not assume that changing from RTMP to SRT provides redundancy; the documented app workflow does not bond multiple connections.
Plan around YouTube’s 12-hour archive limit
YouTube says streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all, and recommends keeping a local archive backup. If you need a replay, consider scheduling sessions shorter than 12 hours and recording a local copy. That means choosing between one seamless all-day watch page and a more dependable chance of having platform archives; test how session transitions appear to viewers before adopting a schedule.

Clear devotional music and other content for live use
Devotional subject matter does not exempt music from copyright rules. YouTube requires the necessary rights for livestream content, including music, and scans live streams for matches to third-party material. A match can replace the stream with a placeholder and, if it remains, interrupt or terminate the broadcast.

A license alone may not prevent an interruption: YouTube says a licensed stream can still be interrupted if the rights owner has not added the channel to its Content ID allowlist. Before going live, confirm that your permission covers livestreaming and archived playback, the territories and duration you intend, and any required channel allowlisting.
